Tkill93
I disagree with all this " LAWL BRAWL SAVED VIDEO GAMES" Brawl wasn't that good. It was fun for a bit but' date=' meh. It's nothing new, and far from the best game ever. I think video games aren't getting worse, there may e some bad games, but there are a lot of good ones, ones better than brawl. Example: Universe at War, CoD4, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, etc.[/quote'] Still not as fun as the old school games that you could play over and over. Plus you can rig them and make fun glitches + hacks on them with ease! Most old school games wouldnt last that long. Plus we have online, and game's are a lot better developed. Much more fun than old school video games. I just hate it how there is so many noobs online. Plus lag is an issue.Lag's an issue for some, not all. Plus, the online only makes the game better. New age videogames have better graphics, better detail, better sound, better stories, better endings, better gameplay, more freedom, etc.

Tkill93
I'm talking about games like the new GTA, the sheer realism in the environment is amazing, and it makes the game more fun to play because it looks real. This also makes gameplay more fun. Would you rather blow up a car that looked like a real honda, or ferari or blow up a tiny black square on many old video games. Guest PikaPerson01
I hate how multiplayer seems to be forced into something just to make it have some replay value. I don't want to play as some Phantoms while Link collects Triforce Pieces. I don't want to be forced to play online just because the Covenant's storyline only lasted 2 hours. I want to play one good, fun single player!
Flame Dragon
Not really. While their may be more crap games, their are also more games in general.Back in the 3rd-5th gens (which I'm assuming are the old games you are talking about) their were a lot less games. So lets say today for every 2 good games their are 10 bad ones, back then for every 1 good game their might have been 5 bads ones. While it their are more bad games proportionally the amounts are the same. Plus most of the crap games have long since been forgotten.

HORUS
How can you say games are getting worse if Call of Duty 4 just recently came out?

HORUS
Yes. It's definitely the best game I have ever played, in my opinion. People still played Halo 2 for years after it came out, and even after Halo 3 was released.

Static
NOES! ITS... ITS..... RAYMAN >.> lulz. And I meant that the reason he thinks videogames are getting worse is because hes getting older and realizing how much of a waste of time they really are. Quicksilver
I think the problem is that the FPS has been done to death. Unlike when platformers were done to death, a platformer could have any moves, any storyline and any kind of characters it wanted. an FPS, however, still has the same concept: shoot as many bad guys as possible. You might have stealth or the ability to scale a mountain, but you still kill the bad guys. FPS's also now need to have the latest physics engine, amazing detail, Dues Ex style aiming and mecha/sub/marine muscle dudes with 'tude. The story might change, but the gameplay, sadly, does not. Gaming companies need to branch out and try new ideas and new ways to play.
Master Hyperion
sure games are getting better in graphics...but their point sucks. Games nowadays are getting worse...some are great/fun' date=' but others are rubbish.Examples of sucking:-Too easy, no challenge.-Plot/Story-Gameplay-ETC.[/quote'] Challenging games died as a result of the save button. Discuss. Contra 4 for DS Play that' date=' and you will sastified. Otherwise, yes, I agree. The games are getting worse. BUT IT'S NOT LIKELY THAT ALL OLD SCHOOL GAMES WERE GOOD EIHTER, ESPECIALLY E.T. FOR ATARI AND ACTION 52 FOR NES.
Father Wolf
-Too easy, no challenge.are u kidding me <.< play on something other than easy.Examples: any game on a hard difficulty -Plot/Storystories are getting more and more complexed you my be thinking of squeals, but stillExamples: Gears of War, Resistance, Folk Lore, Bio Shock -GameplaySome games u cant improve on how can you ad more game play to shotters? or rpgs? there already perfected so u cant add much to something like that.Examples: Patopon and Spore
JesusofChaos™
My top 3 favorite games of all time are Chrono Trigger' date=' [b']TimeSplitters Future Perfect[/b] and Dead Rising, EPIC WIN Anyway i think that video games are becoming better due to games like brawl, zelda phantom hourglass, FF12 and halo 3. Some games are complete and utter tosh such as mario party. But these are jus designers milking a cash cow. If they come up with something original and above all else fun then it is good[/size]
Guest PikaPerson01
I think videogames are hitting a plateau. There's only so much more they could improve on now in terms of graphics and storyline. But it sucks when you have to play through the entire game once just to unlock other difficulties. FoolMeNever
Maybe, idk. Some games with great graphics, have crap storylines, crap character development, and other crap things. (S4 was a great example of this) It all depends on what people think of it. IMO I think games are getting better. Level 5 has been releasing good games. Capcom was getting better untill they released Apollo Justice.
