Just like last week, Lucha Underground show started off with Dario Cueto's story about the Seven Aztec Medallions (medallions that we still don't really know what powers they have). They also showed The Mack getting beat up by Cage like they did in several of these intro packages. Texano and Blue Demon Jr's quest to become Mexico was also chronicled.

In la oficina de Dario Cueto, cigar smoke was blown in the direction of Dario Cueto by Big Boss Big Ryck when Dario mentioned that he wasn't on the same page as Ryck. Dario mentioned that Ryck was the first person that he signed to a big contract, but now Ryck has lost focus. Dario kept using words like not seeing eye-to-eye, and that Ryck was "blinded by Daivari's money", but Cueto said the pun was not intended. Cueto wanted Ryck away from Daivari and back under his pocket.

Cueto held out the last Aztec Medallion. Cueto said he was revealing the power of the medallion tonight. Holding up the dark green bag, Cueto said what did Ryck want, Money or Power? Ryck took the Medallion and said why not have both? Cueto's smile turned into a frown as he put a wad of Benjamins on top of the Medallion. Ryck said that he was glad that they can finally see "eye to eye" (pun intended). The scene closed with a shot of Dario Cueto's red bull figurine...

Matt Striker was probably disappointed because M. Bison wasn't around, but we all had to be glad that the Rockin' jams of Sergio Arau were here to hype us up several weeks before Ultima Lucha. Vampiro was so hyped that he was raising the roof, but when is Vampiro not hype (he'll do a better job than Mojo Rawley). Vampiro recapped the coffinication of Konnan and said that without Konnan to speak for the Lucha Underground Champ, Prince Puma was going to speak for the first time tonight. Striker said that with Ultima Lucha two weeks away, he was facing Texano Jr. in the opening match of this show.

Johnny Mundo was out first through the entrance. He did that spin that Kurt Angle would do once he got in the ring, just in the Mundo version; he spun around flipping the bird at the audience. Texano also came out through the ground entrance to that awesome theme that's simple, but I love it! The Texan came out with his usual bullrope and cowboy hat.

1. Johnny Mundo vs. Texano Jr.

The crowd was fully behind Texano to start the match. Mundo utilized his speed and tactics to dodge the power wrestler Texano. Mundo grounded Texano by kneeing his Knee. Mundo turned the tide with a high dropkick. Texano roundhouse kicked Mundo to gain a two count. Mundo ended the attack a bit with a rake to the eye. Texano came right back with a superkick. Mundo slid out the ring and tripped Texano on the ring apron.

Johnny Mundo hit a hanging moonlight drive on the outside. Mundo made sure to keep Texano from reentering the ring. Mundo back kicked Texano against the rusty barricade. After a pin attempt, Mundo mounted the ground and pound attack with forearms. Mundo got a nearfall after his signature running knee. Texano powered back and hit an impressive Monkey Flip that Mundo sold well. After a bit of trading strikes, Texano hit the Ruff Ryder leg lariat for the nearfall.

Mundo intercepted Texano and placed his crotch on the top rope. From there, Mundo hit the Beautiful Disaster kick on Texano, sending him to the mat. Mundo only got a two count out of that. Texano blocked the Moonlight Drive, but he had to settle for a Russian legsweep. Texano rolled out of the way when Mundo attempted the Fin de Mundo. Texano grounded Mundo with an enziguri. The Crew made their way into the ring and hit Texano with a kendo stick to cause the DQ.

Texano defeated Johnny Mundo via DQ in 5:54.

Johnny Mundo mounted the ground and pound again until he asked for the Crew's help in putting the boots to Texano. Alberto El Patron ran in to help his former rival which caused Mundo to get the hell out of there. El Patron and Texano cleaned house with kicks and a bull rope. Alberto and Texano stood face to face to show that there is still some heat between the Mega Champion rivals. Alberto celebrated with the crowd who chanted "Lucha Libre" to send us to commercial...

Back at Dario Cueto's office, Dario was speaking to Super Mex Hernandez. Cueto said that he wasn't a fan of Museums and thought that Hernandez shared that displeasure. Cueto did say that he was a fan of art. Cueto offered Hernandez some hard liquor, but Hernandez accepted a can of Miller Lite instead. Dario Cueto said he wanted Ultima Lucha to be a masterpiece. He added an extra week to Ultima Lucha? He said that Hernandez vs. Drago would happen next week when Ultima Lucha starts. Hernandez thought it would be a strap match for some reason. Dario Cueto said that based on the Tweets from fans, the Temple hates Hernandez. Hernandez agreed.

Cueto said the hatred gave him an idea, he said that he was going to surround the ring with fans with belts and that they can hit the wrestlers. Cueto said he was calling it the "Believer's Backlash" match. Hernandez said that Dario Cueto better have insurance as he took a sip of his Miller Lite. I'm guessing that Lucha Underground struck an ad deal with Miller because the camera shot really made sure to show that he was drinking that Miller Lite. Hernandez vowed to paint the canvas with the blood of fans who were going to hit him. Cueto said that sounded like a masterpiece...

The Mack and "They Call Him" Cage were in the ring already for their usual match.

2. The Mack vs. Cage.

Cage started off his attack with a backbreaker. Cage worked on Mack in the corner with a European Uppercut. Cage flipped away from Cage and snuck in a Sunset Flip victory.

The Mack defeated The Cage via pinfall in 0:43.

Cage attacked Mack after the match out of anger. Mack reversed the whip to send Cage into the rusty cage (barricade). The two luchadores initiated a pull apart brawl. Mack and Cage took the brawl up the ramp. Vampiro said he was excited to see security guards get beat up. Dario Cueto emerged from the office and I think he was holding Fenix's Medallion bag (the red one). Cueto made the formal announcement to the Temple that Ultima Lucha was starting next week. He announced that Cage and The Mack were kicking the show off with a No-DQ falls count anywhere match.

Dario Cueto said that now was the time when he was going to reveal the power of the Medallions right now. Cueto's entrance theme as he entered the ring and we went to commercial...

Dario Cueto was in the ring with what looked like a new covered title belt. Dario Cueto said that luchadores were fighting for weeks for the Aztec Medallions. He said that together they would make "the gift of the gods. He revealed a new title belt with indentations that held each of the seven Aztec Medallions. He said that whoever had this new belt would get a title shot whenever he wanted. He said there was a twist, he mocked the WWE Money in the Bank by saying that he wants to promote his matches and not have people "cash in" the belt. Dario Cueto said that this title will be defended if the title holder doesn't cash in his title shot. Also, once the title shot was cashed in, the Medallions would be split up and have to be collected again.

Dario Cueto then announced a seven way match between the medallion holders at Ultima Lucha for the new belt and summoned all of them to the ring. Jack Evans, AeroStar, King Cuerno, Bengala, Sexy Star, and "Moneyshot" Big Ryck. Cueto told each of the luchadores to insert their medallions into the belt to qualify for the gift of the gods match. Each medallion was sucked into the belt which Vampiro claimed was some of that Aztec power. Dario Cueto congratulated all of them and said that he'll meet them at Ultima Lucha. Striker noted that there was a gaping hole in the belt.

Cueto said that since Fenix was destroyed by Mil Muertes, his medallion was going back on the line tonight. Cueto announced a battle royal for the Fenix's Aztec Medallion. Cueto said that the last two luchadores in the match can only win by pinfall or submission. In a surprise return, Fenix made his way to the ring sporting white and gold gear. Dario Cueto said that Fenix was a bit late to claim his medallion but gave him a chance to compete in the battle royal. Like a little kid, Dario Cueto told Fenix "good luck!"...

Fenix was joined in the ring by Killshot, Ricky Mandel, Mascarita Sagrada, Famous B, Argenis, Super Fly, DelAvar Daivari, and Vinny Massaro. Marty The Moth Martinez was the last entrant to join the match featuring Fenix Killshot, Mascarita Sagrada, Daivari, and the jobbers who got their arms broken by Pentagon Jr.

3. Ten Man Battle Royal for Fenix's Medallion.

Famous B did his best HHH impression by doing the DX Crotch Chop and hitting Argenis with the pedigree. Famous B shifted into Hogan move and hit the leg drop. Ricky Mandel tried to use B's showboating to send him over the top, but Ricky got sent out instead. Argenis tried the same thing but got eliminated with a feint kick.

Killshot and Vinny Massaro had the spotlight next which Killshot won with many kicks. Daivari tried to sneak in but was left lying on the ring apron with a feint kick by Killshot. Killshot went to the top rope, but was eliminated with a push from Daivari. Vinny was eliminated by Daivari. Mascarita Sagrada and Super Fly eliminated each other.

Marty the Moth and Famous B traded shots. Famous B skinned the cat to avoid elimination, but Martin and Daivari used their boots together to boot out and eliminate Famous B. Daivari and Martin tried to double team Fenix, but Fenix threw Daivari over the top rope to make it a singles match.

Vampiro noted that Fenix was wearing a protective shirt due to the damage from Mil Muertes destroying him. Fenix worked on Marty with elbows. Marty caught Fenix and bodyslammed him. Marty teased a tope, but instead decided to showboat in the ring. Fenix ran in the ring and hit a springboard back elbow. Fenix springboarded several times and hit a corkscrew armdrag. Marty retreated to the outside. Fenix followed up with a Tope Con Hilo. Marty managed to kick out of the pin attempt at two. Marty blocked a hurricanrana in a clunky motion, but Fenix turned that into a rollup pin for a victory.

Fenix defeated Marty "The Moth" Martinez in 7:15 to earn Medallion number 1 and a shot at the Gift of the Gods Championship.

Fenix celebrated with the crowd with the final medallion in hand. Fenix climbed to the top of the temple steps with medallion in hand. Dario Cueto emerged from his office with a look of disappointment. Fenix inserted the final medallion into the center of the Gift of the Gods championship. The final medallion had the symbol of The Devil on it...
