Wahrheit
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/13369076/houston-texans-arian-foster-goes-public-not-believing-god I think this is fantastic - great video, and I'm glad he did the article. THE HOUSE IS a churn of activity. Arian's mother, Bernadette, and sister, Christina, are cooking what they proudly call "authentic New Mexican food." His older brother, Abdul, is splayed out on a room-sized sectional, watching basketball and fielding requests from the five little kids -- three of them Arian's -- who are bouncing from the living room to the large playhouse, complete with slide, in the front room. I tell Abdul why I'm here and he says, "My brother -- the anti-Tebow," with a comic eye roll.
Poc
As a Canadian it's kind of weird to see this, here no one gives two shits about the color of your skin or your religion. I guess parts of the states are still a bit old fashioned
Tentacruel
So brave. As a Canadian it's kind of weird to see this, here no one gives two shits about the color of your skin or your religion. I guess parts of the states are still a bit old fashioned It's really exaggerated tbh. Not that some states aren't old fashioned, but there's a fair bit of "I'm so oppressed as an atheist," that IMHO, is bullshit.

Worst part is we get it both ways. "I'm oppressed as an atheist." "I'm repressed as a believer." They're not. Most of the time they're just mad that they can't impose their religion or lack-there-of on someone else. That being said, it could be different in NFL culture. No idea. Remember Chris Kluwe? Yeah.
