Forget what you thought you knew about suplexes, cities, and bastards — professional wrestler Brock Lesnar’s recent TED Talk will make you re-think everything!

Best known for pummelling opponents in the WWE ring and the UFC Octagon, Lesnar revealed his brilliant, boundless intellect during his speech at this week’s TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) Conference in San Diego.

Titled “Suplex City jabroni,” Lesnar’s talk examined how “shifting gender norms have created a post-feminist throwback (or suplex)” to what Lesnar calls a “jabroni paradigm” amid the new urbanists.

The thought-provoking talk came as a surprise to many, given that Lesnar’s onscreen portrayal of a monstrous brute is so convincing that many fans mistakenly assume it is an accurate reflection of his real personality.

Lesnar, however, is a deep-thinking polymath who enjoys defying expectations, and he challenged viewers of the TED Talk to “find the inner beast incarnate” in their hearts.
