My Rating on FF7 Crisis Core

So YCMembers here is my rating on Crisis Core for the PSP. I got i yesturday (that will explain my lack of graphic art posted and activeness). yeah i already throw 15 hours of my life away playing this game XD and laura hates it, but anyways on to the rating.

Graphics/Looks~

This game has 3 style of graphics going for it. 1.Ingame, 2. Out of Game, 3. And Movie.

1. Ingame - I would put it as kingdom hearts 1 looking. not bad for a hand held system.

2. Out of Game - The Out of game talking and stuff looks like kingdom hearts 2 out of game all in all pretty cool little cartoony for my taistes.

3. Movie - All summons and movie parts all have the same ff7 advent children look to them which is just beautifle.

Rating - 8/10 "they're good for a psp game"

Game Play~

Well this work just like kingdom hearts sorta. Battles happen at random just like classic ff style but its all real time. u click X to make your selection and you use R and L to cycle throw your matiria/Attack that you have equiped. you can also dodge and block like in kingdom hearts. Good game play right well there is a small catch. 1 thing that keeps this game from being great! DWA's. This a Rullet constently going at the top right hand of your screen during battle. What DWA does is 5 things. Limit breaks, level ups, summons, special limit breaks, Good status effects. Note you do not control DWA it all happens at random because apparently Zach is so emotion that it effects his fighting. The limit bar (it works like the last ff7 u take tomany hits your limit bar goes crazy) makes it easier to do all the DWA's its ranges from low - Sky high

DWA's

Limit breaks: When you get 3 of the same charactures to match up you get to do that charactures limit break. Examples: Airth Heals your hp above max.

Level ups: To level up in the game you need to get all 7's in the number wheel which is right next to the charature wheel. YES NO EXP IN THIS GAME. For matiria to level up you need 2 of the same numbers with 2 of the same charactures.

Summons: They work just like Limit breaks but only happen when you limit gauge is about high.

Special Limit Breaks: Same with Summons.

Good status effects: These happen when you have 1 characture and its a 7.

There is more there like matiria fusion in the item menu but i dont want to spoil that.

Rate - 6/10 "What where they thinking with DWA's"

Story~

Ah yes the Key to all ff games The story. Well im not going to lie if u never played ff7 you might be really confused. Its all about Zach and his adventures before you get to cloud and everyone else.

i wount ruwen anything so im just going to rate it how it is

Rate - 8.5/10 "You may not like it if your not a fan"

Others/add on/minigames~

This game does have several minigames so if your bored you always have something to do. i know of 5 minigames so far. With the normal story there are missions that you can do to earn items summons ect. ect. ive done 50-75 missions and im only 18% complete with all the missions there are! There will never be a dull moment in this game.

Rate - 8/10 "minigames provide enjoyment but there are way way way to many missions!"

All in All this game is 8/10 for ff fans but a 6/10 for none ff fans.

If you are a ff fan this is a must have for your collection.

if your not well move on to the next game.

I got the game err... last week? Or err.. the day it came into Gamestop. O_O

Haven't really played it, but I agree with your ratings.

The only thing I really hate is the leveling system.. /DWA's..

You can't really control how you level whatsoever, so.. ya.. It could mean you can play for 50 hours straight, but if your luck stinks, you might only level like 4 times. =_=. {But that is really bad luck. O_O}

I got PSP but i am not going to buy this i dont want to go back to the pokemon style battles (i.e. he attacks me i attack him) I prefer FF12

It's not the traditional RPG, it's a hack 'n' slash game. Gameinformer's review was a 7. Mainly because the gameplay was awful. They said you don't even HAVE to use materia to win battles.

I was already thinking of getting. I'll probably check it out once I finish Tales of Rebirth. I'm currently addicted to that game, so I should beat it pretty soon.

I have a question. You said random encounters, right? (Damn... I hate random encounters...) Just how frequent are they? Do they come up as frequently as they did in Final Fantasy X, or is it like Tales of Rebirth were if you want to fight, most of the time you have to run circles for a moment.

Gameinformer said random encounters at every node (Whatever the heck that means) Also, IMO, Suikoden > FF :D

well most the time they only happen in open spots like places where it kinda looks like a circle. i would say the random encounters happen every once in a while its not crazy.

Though i did have for a moment where after a battle i would take a step BAM another battle!
