Bringerofcake
Hatshep, Lady of Shifting SandEARTHRock/Effect8/0/3000Cannot be Tribute Summoned (but can be Tribute Set.) You can Tribute Set this card by Tributing a Set monster you control. You can Special Summon this card in Attack Position (from your hand) by sending a "sphinx" monster you control to the Graveyard. If this card is Flip Summoned: Add 1 "sphinx" card from your deck to your hand. If this card leaves the field: during your next turn's Main Phase, you can Normal Summon/Set 1 Rock-type monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. ManusphinxEARTHRock/Effect6/1600/2500You can Normal Summon this card without Tributing, but its original DEF is halved. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. If this card is Flip Summoned: Special Summon 1 Level 4 or higher EARTH Rock-type monster from your deck in face-down Defense Position. HetesphinxEARTHRock/Xyz/Effect6/2200/30002 Level 6 Rock-type monstersOther Rock-type monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card: send 1 random card from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard. You can only activate this effect of "Hetesphinx" once per turn. Riddle of the GreatsphinxContinuous SpellEach effect of "Riddle of the Greatsphinx" can only be used once per turn.~When a Rock-type monster(s) is Flip Summoned: Switch its ATK and DEF until the End Phase.~When a Rock-type monster(s) is flipped face-down: You can send 1 card your opponent controls to the Graveyard.~When a Rock-type monster(s) is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: You can shuffle 1 other Rock-type monster you control into the deck, then add 1 "sphinx" monster from your Deck to your hand. Desert SunsetNormal TrapIf you control a face-up "sphinx" monster: Set all monsters you control with DEF higher than their ATK. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; Flip Summon all face-down monsters you control. You can only activate 1 effect of "Desert Sunset" per turn, and only once that turn. Tojin
Ooooh. I like these a lot. Hatshep: The flip effect is nice (if specific), as is the 3000 DEF and accelerated summoning, but I feel like level 8 is slightly unwieldy. You don't have to change it if you don't want to, that's just my opinion. Manusphinx: Oh my god, I love it! This gives Flip Rocks a ton of much-needed speed, and being able to summon it without tributing makes it a viable turn 1 play. However, when you flip it facedown, the DEF drop would go away. I'm not sure if you intended that or not, but it's there. Hetesphinx: Pretty basic, but nice. Not really much to say here. Riddle of the Greatsphinx: This is really neat! All the effects make this card seem very fun, though you may want to make it so you can only have 1 at a time, since being able to clear a good portion of my opponent's field by setting a monster isn't something I should be doing (even if I really want to). Actually, this combos really well with Hatshep, netting you a search and a 3000 ATK beater in the same turn. Desert Sunset: Also pretty fun, acting as a mass one-sided Book of Eclipse if you have a Sphinx. Not really much else to say imo. All in all, I love these cards! Keep up the good work! Bringerofcake
However, when you flip it facedown, the DEF drop would go away. I'm not sure if you intended that or not, but it's there. That actually is intended. The idea is to make it a non-Tribute Level 6 that you basically "reveal" to your opponent as a cost. though you may want to make it so you can only have 1 at a time, since being able to clear a good portion of my opponent's field by setting a monster isn't something I should be doing (even if I really want to).I think the hard once per turn clause covers that actually. The only difference is that you could control multiple copies, but only one of them would activate. it's kinda minor overall, but it's well spotted. Tojin
If the cost is rendered pointless the same turn you summon it, you may as well just say it can be Normal Summoned without tributing. As for Riddle, that is true. It does mean there's no real point to controlling multiples, which means you'll conserve them and be able to just play another one if/when your opponent gets rid of it.
