Mutant Monster RAEG-HAPYP
http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/25/us/children-and-automatic-weapons-petition/index.html I'm gonna have to agree with this. I do not hate guns, but kids should not be around automatic weapons. Will this happen? Probably not, thanks to the NRA, gun lobby, and crazy gun extremists. Heck, I would not be surprised if the NRA starts taking jabs at them and accuses them of "politicizing their tragedy."
·Toot
You need a license to have a gun. Kids can't get the license because they aren't old enough to purchase one. Why is this needed? Just pop the kid's hand and say no. Only an idiot would leave their gun in a reachable place.

·Toot
I think they mean shooting at the range.Don't you need to be a certain age to do that kind of thing? It still seems weird to me.

I mean, I do hate guns, but this seems a pretty obvious step. Children and dangerous weapons shouldn't mix.
Mutant Monster RAEG-HAPYP
Don't you need to be a certain age to do that kind of thing? It still seems weird to me. I think it varies by state. But since a 9 year old was able to fire an Uzi, I would say in that particular state, no.

It's pretty obvious that kids and guns don't mix.

If you're under supervision, no.Just like a 2 year old can have a beer so long as they're being supervised by their parent/legal guardian while they do so. The parent would be charged for giving the minor alcohol.
Susie
if you really wanna give kids something to shoot just give them a plastic gun, paintball gun, watergun or whatever else works. it should really be obvious to not give a kid a real actual gun that can shoot bullets. Tentacruel
I'm mixed. On one hand, I'm not sure I'm comfortable regulating what parents can let their kids do under supervision. On the other, letting a child shoot a fully automatic firearm is gonna be kinda retarded in most scenarios. ...That's not even legal regardless. The parent would be charged for giving the minor alcohol. Not exactly. It varies by state.

epicmemesbro
There is an age limit, but it depends on the range. Avg age is like 12 I think. Some even ten. I'm assuming they are talking about that one incident with the vet. Well they shouldn't allow children to be operating stockless uzis that's for sure. And any other weap that has no stock for that matter.
