The Fallen Pony
If you remember when Pegasus used against Kaiba's Blue-Eyes, then you remember how the Jar acted differently than the TCG version. So, I made this, a new Type of card that's both a Monster Card and Trap card simultaneously but still classified as a Trap Card. These you have to Special Summon by activating the card, then after it resolves, it is placed in the Monster Zone. And there was a Baindai version of this Dragon Capture Jar, too. And, yes, I did the same with Magic Card (aka Spell Cards).
ÆƵ–
I hate to burst your bubble, but trap monsters already exist in the form of self-summoning continuous trap cards. Now, let's assume that this is one of those trap monsters. Firstly, an OCG fix to match with current trap monsters Special Summon this card as an Effect Monster (Rock-Type/ EARTH/ Level 1/ 0 ATK/ 0 DEF). (This card is also still treated as a Trap Card). This card cannot attack. Once per turn:you can target 1 Dragon-Type monster on the field; Banish it, then this card gains 1000 DEF. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon as many banished Dragon-Type monsters that were banished by this card's effect to your side of the field. Now, this card is kind of meh. The banishing effect is great, but the DEF gain is minimal because of the non-existent base DEF. Maybe giving it some actual stats would be good. Also, the effect to summon any and all of the monsters banished by this card's destruction is huge, because you could easily blow this up yourself with an MST. Also, this card has no synergy with any existing trap monsters. I like the concept of retraining old continuous traps into trap monsters, but this isn't really the way to go with it. The Fallen Pony
Why's that? I think it's a clever reincarnation.
ÆƵ–
Try rereading my first post. I never said it wasn't clever, just that it's not necessarily that good.
The Fallen Pony
It's still the same concept but displayed differently.
