[Written] Good Morning and Good Night - The Sol & Lune Archetype

An archetype I worked with alongside Kingdom Xathers, it was originally going to be a Ritual Archetype, but it expanded further into encompassing all Extra Deck types. So embrace the Sol and the Lune.

You can only each effect of “Sol Fusionist” once per turn.

This card’s Special Summon and effects cannot be chained to. When this card is Summoned: Banish all LIGHT Pyro-Type or Fairy-Type “Sol” / DARK Aqua-Type or Fiend-Type “Lune” monsters and “Sol et Lune” Spell Cards from your field and Graveyard; you cannot Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, and increase this card’s ATK by 100 for each card banished. This card inflicts piercing Battle Damage. Negate the effects of your opponent’s cards during the Battle Phase. While this card is in your Graveyard: You can banish this card, 1 LIGHT Pyro-Type “Sol” / DARK Aqua-Type “Lune” Tuner Monster, and 1 LIGHT Pyro-Type or Fairy-Type “Sol” / DARK Aqua-Type or Fiend-Type “Lune” non-Tuner monster from your Graveyard; Special Summon 1 Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck or Graveyard with a Level equal to the combined Levels of the banished monsters whose Material Requirements were met. Tribute monsters from your hand or field, then Ritual Summon 1 LIGHT Pyro-Type or Fairy-Type “Sol” / DARK Aqua-Type “Lune” Ritual Monster from your hand whose Level is equal to or less than the total Levels of those monsters. While this card is in your Graveyard: You can banish this card and 1 LIGHT Pyro-Type or Fairy-Type “Sol” / DARK Aqua-Type or Fiend-Type “Lune” monster from your Graveyard; Ritual Summon 1 LIGHT Pyro-Type “Sol” / DARK Aqua-Type “Lune” Ritual Monster from your hand with a Level less than the banished monster’s. While this card is in your Graveyard: You can banish this card; Special Summon, from your Graveyard, 1 LIGHT Pyro-Type “Sol” monster and 1 “Lune” monster with the same Level, then, immediately after this effect resolves, Xyz Summon 1 LIGHT Pyro-Type “Sol” / DARK Aqua-Type or Fiend-Type “Lune” Xyz Monster using those 2 monsters only. You can only use 1 “Eclipse du Sol et Lune” effect per turn, and only once per that turn.

When a LIGHT Pyro-Type or Fairy-Type “Sol” / DARK Aqua-Type “Lune” monster is Ritual Summoned: You can return all monsters on the field with less ATK than the Summoned monster to their owner’s hands, then take 500 damage for each monster returned by this effect. This card is unaffected by the effects of Trap cards. Other monsters you control cannot declare an attack. This card can attack every monster your opponent controls (one attack on each monster per Battle Phase). When this card destroys a monster by battle: You can take control of that monster instead of sending it to the Graveyard, and if you do, that monster is treated as a Beast-Warrior-Type “Lune” monster, also, it cannot be Tributed or be used as a Material for a Fusion/Synchro/Xyz Summon this turn.

(Xyz Material attached to that monster also become Xyz Material on this card.) This card cannot be targeted by card effects while it has Xyz Material. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; until the end of your opponent’s next turn, when an opponent’s monster effect is activated, immediately after that effect resolves, that monster loses 1000 ATK and DEF. Once per activation of this effect: You can negate the activation of a monster effect instead, and if you do, destroy that monster. If this card is sent to the Graveyard because of a card effect: You can add 1 LIGHT Pyro-Type or Fairy-Type “Sol” / DARK Aqua-Type “Lune” monster or “Sol et Lune” Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.

Eh, that would be too much effort to account for cards that frankly suck. If anything I've only updated it so instead of "Sol" / "Lune" cards it's now "Sol" / "Lune" monster or "Sol et Lune" Spell Card instead, to differentiate away from things like the Solemn cards, Solar Recharge, or Solidarity.

I haven't actually looked through all "Sol" monsters in existence, but Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning is a pretty potent card, especially when you consider that it was limited due to how good it was. Unless, you intend for the Sol and Lune monsters to work with Black Luster Soldier, especially considering how much synergy that card has with the entirety of the Sol/Lune cast, I would say that some limit to prevent Black Luster Soldier from being fetched out is needed. Perhaps just add in {except "Black Luster Soldier" monsters}?
