(Written) Arc Angels (Repost)

This archetype was born of my friend always mispronouncing Archangel as Arcangel. That's the entire story with this one.

Arc Angel Gabriel

Monster Zone:

Level 4, Fairy-Type, LIGHT

1500Atk/1700Def

Once per turn: Target one "Arc Angel" in your extra deck or graveyard: Add that target to your hand.

Pendulum Zone:

Scale: 9

You may not pendulum summon monsters except "Arc Angel" monsters. Once per turn: Target one "Arc Angel" you control, return that target to your hand and special summon 1 "Arc Angel" of the same level from your hand or deck.

 

Arc Angel Uriel

Monster Zone:

Level 4, Fairy-Type, LIGHT

1700Atk/1500Def

Once per turn: Target one monster your opponent controls with atk equal to or lower than the current atk of this card: destroy that target.

Pendulum Zone:

Scale:3

You may not pendulum summon monsters except "Arc Angel" monsters. "Arc Angel" monsters you control gain 500 attack points.

 

Arc Angel Sealtiel

Monster Zone:

Level 6, Fairy-Type, LIGHT

0Atk/3000Def

This card can not be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, when another "Arc Angel" monster you control would be destroyed by battle: It is not destroyed.

Pendulum Zone:

Scale: 9

You may not pendulum summon monsters except "Arc Angel" monsters. "Arc Angel" monsters you control gain 500 defense points.

 

Arc Angel Jegudiel

Monster Zone:

Level 6, Fairy-Type, LIGHT

2300Atk/500Def

Once per turn: When this monster destroys an opponent's monster be battle: target 1 monster your opponent controls: Destroy that target.

Pendulum Zone:

Scale:3

You may not pendulum summon monsters except "Arc Angel" monsters. "Arc Angel" monsters you control deal piercing battle damage.

 

 

Arc Angel Barachiel

Monster Zone:

Level 8, Fairy-Type, LIGHT

2000Atk/3000Def

Once per turn: Target one "Arc Angel" monster you control. it loses 500 attack points until the end of turn and may attack your opponent directly this turn.

Pendulum Zone:

Scale: 9

You may not pendulum summon monsters except "Arc Angel" monsters. Once per turn: When one or more "Arc Angel" monsters would be destroyed by a card effect: Negate that effect and if you do, destroy it.

 

 

Arc Angel Jerahmeel

Monster Zone:

Level 8, Fairy-Type, LIGHT

2800Atk/2300Def

Once per turn: Target one "Arc Angel" monster you control: That target can and must attack all of your opponent's monsters in succession this turn.

Pendulum Zone:

Scale: 3

You may not pendulum summon monsters except "Arc Angel" monsters. "Arc Angel" monsters you control may attack an additional monster each turn.

 

Arc Angel Michael

Monster Zone:

Level 10, Fairy-Type, LIGHT

3000Atk/300Def

Your opponent may not target other "Arc Angel" monsters for attacks.

Pendulum Zone:

Scale: 9

You may not pendulum summon monsters except "Arc Angel" monsters. Arc Angel monsters you control can not be banished.

 

 

Arc Angel Raphael

Monster Zone:

Level 10, Fairy-Type, LIGHT

3000Atk/3000Def

Your opponent may not target other "Arc Angel" monsters with card effects.

Pendulum Zone:

Scale: 3

You may not pendulum summon monsters except "Arc Angel" monsters. Whenever an "Arc Angel" monster you control is destroyed, it is returned to your hand instead of being sent to the extra deck.

Arc Demon Lucifer

Monster Zone:

Xyz, Rank 8, Fiend-Type, DARK

2700Atk/2700Def

2 level 8 Fairy-Type monsters.

If you can pendulum summon level 8 monsters, you may pendulum summon this card face up from your extra deck. Once per turn: exile 1 "Arc Angel" monster you control, this card gains the effects of all monsters exiled this way. This card is always treated as an "Arc Angel" monster.

Pendulum Zone: Scale 11

You may not pendulum summon monsters except "Arc Angel" monsters. After successfully preforming a pendulum summon with this card in your pendulum zone, send all pendulum monsters in your pendulum zones to the graveyard. Monsters pendulum summoned wile this card is in your pendulum zone are exiled when they leave the field, ignore any effects that would prevent this.

 

Grand Arc Angel Thune

Xyz, Rank 8, Fairy-Type, LIGHT

2900Atk/2000Def

2 or more (max 5) level 8 Fairy-Type monsters

Once per turn, you may remove 1 Xyz material from this card: "Arc Angel" monsters you control can not be destroyed by card effects until your next standby phase.

Cloudy Heavens

Field Spell

Whenever an "Arc Angel" monster you control would be sent to the graveyard or extra deck, you may return that card to your hand instead.

 

Reign of Angels

Quickplay Spell

Activate only when your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters. Special summon up to 2 "Arc Angel" monsters with different Pendulum Scales from your extra deck.

Raphael's Pendulum Effect doesn't apply to Arc Angels sent to grave. Is this intentional?

 

Not much else to say to about this Archetype critique wise as far as I can see. Seems balanced, and although some of their effects are powerful, it's not too serious, and the ATK and DEF balance it out.

 

I like the whole 'each Arc Angel corresponds to the other of the same level' theme you've got going. I would be interested to see more support for this archetype. I would love to see this become a thing, nice work.

 

(Being a Grammar Nazi, with Jegudial you have "be battle" instead of "by battle", and a couple of "attack points" and "defense points" instead of ATK and DEF. Of course, it's nothing serious, and the latter doesn't need to be changed. Doesn't detract from the overall archetype)

Thank you, if you have any suggestions, I'm willing to take them. I will work on some supports on my own as I come up with them, of course. As for Raphael, Pendulums are only sent to the graveyard if they were used as Xyz materials, so, I didn't bother with that.
