(Rewritten) Charred Wings- Flightless Flaming Fae

This one was born from the 'what deck should you use' thing. my steam name, Subject 7, came up with a FIRE Fairy deck that focuses on normal summoning, so, I bothered to make these to make that a thing.

Charred Wing Pixie

Level 2, Fairy-Type, FIRE

When this card is normal summoned, you may normal summon again this turn. You may only gain this effect once per turn and only once that turn. When this card is normal summoned, if it was not the first monster normal summoned to your field this turn: Draw 1 card for each monster normal summoned this turn to your side of the field.

Charred Wing Card Snatcher
Level 2, Fairy-Type, FIRE

When this card is normal summoned, you may normal summon again this turn. You may only gain this effect once per turn and only once that turn. When this card is normal summoned, if it was not the first monster normal summoned to your field this turn: Target 1 card in your opponent's graveyard: Add that target to your hand. It is returned to your opponent's graveyard when it leaves the field, is discarded or would be returned to the deck.

Charred Wing Warrior
Level 3, Fairy-Type, FIRE

When this card is normal summoned, you may normal summon again this turn. You may only gain this effect once per turn and only once that turn. When this card is normal summoned, if it is not the first monster you've normal summoned this turn Target one monster your opponent controls: Destroy that target.

Charred Wing Herald

When this card is normal summoned, you may normal summon again this turn. You may only gain this effect once per turn and only once that turn. Once per turn, you may normal summon 1 level 3 or lower Fairy-Type monster in addition to your normal summon/set. You must control this face up card to resolve this effect.

Charred Wing Gaurdian

Once per turn, when a "Chared Wing" monster you control would be destroyed by battle or by card effects, you may discard a card instead.

Field Spell
Whenever a "Charred Wing" monster is normal summoned, its controller gains 250 life points and each other player takes 250 points of damage unless they control a FIRE attribute monster.

Charred Ruins
Continuous Trap
During each of your standby phase, if a non-Fire attribute monster is on their field or in their graveyard, that monsters controller takes 500 points of damage. You may only control two face up copies of "Charred Ruins"

Charred Blacksmith
Continuous Spell
All "Charred Wing" monsters on the field gain 500 attack and defense points. When this card is sent to the graveyard, special summon 1 "Charred Wing" monster from your hand or graveyard.

Chared Dance
Quickplay Spell
Activate only if you control a face up "Charred Wing Flame Dancer", attach one card from your hand to your face up "Flame Dancer", then, target 1 Xyz monster on the field: That target loses an Xyz material.

Charred Runeblade
Equip Spell
Equip only to a Charred Wing monster. The equipped monster gains 1000 attack points and can not attack unless its name is "Charred Wing Spellsword"

Charred Retribution
Trap
Activate only if you control a face up "Charred Wing Savior". Destroy all face up monsters and all face down spells and traps your opponent controls, then, destroy all face down and non-Xyz monsters you control.

 

Charred Whips of Arching Flame

Trap

Target player loses 250 life points for every FIRE Attribute monster in any player's graveyard and on the field.

 

So, yeah, I'm sorta back now. I didn't make it any bigger than it was back when it was new because I didn't want to try and make something too big before fixing the problem the old set had. Though, The Girl in the Subway will still likely be my crowning achievement forever.

Interesting take on the Yosenju style, but I noticed that ALL of the other low level monsters have buffs when they are normal summoned, but Pixie has no buffs other than a normal summon. Seems a bit unbalanced if you ask me. Interesting how this archetype which empties your hand has a boos monster (Herald) that relies on hand advantage. No problems there, just interesting.

 

I personally feel that the extra would be more balanced if summoning from it was considered normal summoning in this deck. (Which would also help Spellsword)

 

Like I said, interesting deck, and completely playable with a few tweaks.

Charred Ruins is a powerful card. If you get three active, you can burn your opponent 1500 Damage each turn. Combine that with an active Village, and you can burn him for a total of 2250 each turn.

 

Just some OCG quickly: You may only gain this effect once per turn and only once that turn. Kinda redundant, considering that both mean the exact same thing. Wing Warrior's last effect should only have one colon, either being A) "When this card is normal summoned, if it is not the first monster you've normal summoned this turn, target one monster your opponent controls: Destroy that target." or B) "When this card is normal summoned, if it is not the first monster you've normal summoned this turn: Target one monster your opponent controls, and destroy that target." The colon is used to indicate when the chain starts, either before or after the targeting is done.

For Ruins, I would suggest having a limitation on how many you can have face-up (I'd say two personally) and having it only activate on either your or your opponent's turn, not both. Perhaps for village you could have instead of your opponent having to control a "Charred Wing" monster they only have to control a FIRE monster, to tie in with Ruins.

 

The closest thing I can think of to "You may only gain this effect once per turn and only once that turn." is "You may only gain one effect of "monster" per turn and only once that turn." which is used when there are multiple effects on a monster. Your best solution would be "You may only gain this effect once per turn." which would do the job as I understand it.
