Ultra Combo
These are the first two cards that I have made with an actual account. Instantaneous Summon has an extremely potent effect, which is why Temporal Distortion was created and a risk factor included on Instantaneous Summon (damage equal to summoned monster's ATK if it is destroyed). If there are any suggestions or errors please let me know. Hello my name is Enguin
So basically Instantaneous Summon into Horakhty and it's game over, and your opponent can't stop it. Seems fair. And Temporal Distortion is White Hole pointless. And you didn't explain what a restricted summon was.
Ultra Combo
I didn't think this through very well, thanks. I wanted to create a new method of summoning, where Restricted Summoning could occur due to effects that resulted in a monster being summoned from literally anywhere. A seemingly good idea when I first thought of it, but now I don't think so. I am not very good at this card making business lol. I forgot to add this to my last post. Trebuchet MS
Generally, you're expected to explain every new mechanic you're introducing. I still assume a Restricted Summon to be a type of Special Summon unless explained otherwise, so the Horakhty argument still stands. "Silver Bullet" cards - i.e. cards that negate a few specific cards and have no other purpose - are also generally terrible. Making Temporal Distortion the only way to stop Instantaneous Summon results in something known as overcentralizing. Because Instantaneous Summon is so powerful, being an unstoppable way to recruit or revive anything, every Deck would want to run it - meanwhile, they'd also want to run some Temporal Distortion as the one and only out to the inevitable Instantaneous Summon that every opponent will carry. I strongly suggest scrapping the entire card designs. It's very difficult to balance them without altering them beyond recognition.
Ultra Combo
Everyone who gave me feedback, sincerely thank you. I just wanted to make a good summoning card like Monster Reborn and Limit Overdrive that could offer great reward and risk at the same time. As for their effects, I changed the Instantaneous Summon to a Special Summon, I realised that the game mechanics are not to be meddled with and I removed its deck searching ability. Temporal Distortion I made to be very similar to Scrap Iron Statue, the only difference is that Temporal Distortion must be activated in response to the opponent activating their Spell/Trap card, and it cannot negate effects of active continuous Traps and/or Spells. These effect updates are in the links below. I hope these changes did improve these cards.Again, thank you for taking the time to look at my topic. Trebuchet MS
[spoiler Instantaneous Summon]Target 1 Monster card in Special Summon 1 monster from either player's Extra Deck or Graveyard and place it on the field under your control in face-up Attack Position, ignoring its the Summoning conditions (This is considered a Special Summon). If this card is used to Summon a Synchro or Xyz Monster is Summoned this way, its effects are negated until your next turn. If the Summoned monster is destroyed, take damage equal to its original ATK. This card You can only be activated once activate 1 "Instantaneous Summon" per Duel. Getting a little better here, but you seem to have forgotten that this card can affect Fusion Monsters or steal the opponent's Pendulum Monsters from their Extra Deck as well, and those get off scot-free with their effects free to activate. I wouldn't ignore Fusions since you can pull The Last Warrior from Another Planet out on turn 1 and give your opponent a bad time. Extend the negation to all monsters that are Summoned by this card. [spoiler Temporal Distortion]Upon the activation of one When a Spell/Trap card is activated: activate this card to Negate its effect(s) the activation, and if you do, destroy it, then Re- Set this card face-down instead of sending it to the Graveyard. The effect of You can only activate 1 "Temporal Distortion" can only be activated once per turn. Much better. Presence of one-copy-per-turn clause can offset its reusability, preventing you from nonstop turtling behind 3 copies.
Ultra Combo
Hopefully the last adjustments, I am currently working on other experimental spells and traps. Effect negation spectrum extended to any monster summoned by this card, the wording of the effects may still be iffy but I did try to use the proper card text scheme. (Thanks Trebuchet MS for fixing wording), I was going to add that the monster couldn't attack either but given the current implications of using the card (recoil damage) and only once per duel I figured the controller should still be able to attack since everyone carries cards that destroy all your monsters anyway (Magic Cylinder etc.). Might even use these in a duel to test their effectiveness and playability.
