Frightfur Nightmare - Fusion Trap for Flufflals

Fusion Summon 1 "Frightfur" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or your side of the field as Fusion Materials, and it gains ATK equal to the number of Fusion Material Monsters used for its Fusion Summon x 500, also return it to the Extra Deck during the End Phase of this turn. If that card is destroyed by battle or removed from the field by a card effect while this card is in your Graveyard: You can target 1 "Fluffal" monster that was used for the Fusion Summon of that card; Special Summon it. You can only use each effect of "Frightfur Nightmare" once per turn.

 

I had posted this before as a Written Card, but I found a picture for it plus I reworked the effect to make it more clear and avoid timing or ruling issues.

This card is intended to act as a Power Bond-lite for Fluffals to allow them to go for that OTK with more ease, but maybe that's not this card's greatest perk; for instance, how about Summoning that "Frightfur Tiger" during the opponent's turn?

The second effect is to make the Fusion indirectly float; it's mostly for flavor , but also works as as safety or a cushion for the player in case the OTK goes wrong, or to have a Fluffal to work with in the next turn if this card was used during the opponent's turn.

 

Flavorwise, a normally cute Fluffal turns into a nightmare for a night, and by the morning it changes back to its adorable form.

 

It's searchable by "Edge Imp Chain", by the way.

Uhh....it gets removed by a card effect at the end phase regardless of what your opponent does unless they banish this trap from the grave.  Was that intentional?  Makes the card kinda scary if I get to revive something like Owl and search poly AND have a free mat

Yes, that was intended. As pointed out in the OP, flavor-wise the Fluffal turns into a nightmare (Frightfur) temporarily, then it goes back to its Fluffal form at the end of the day (turn). I understand this has potentially dangerous interactions, such destroying Frightfur Sheep by battle to get both Frightfur and Fluffal Sheep back, but hey, it's Fluffals, they more or less need the support.

 

Also, Owl wouldn't get to search a Poly anyway, since it must be Special Summoned from the hand to trigger the effect.
