The Sad Monster - Raem

Lore: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set from the hand. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by controlling a face-up "Dark Smog", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is a Normal Monster on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it become an Effect Monster with this effect.

-You take no effect damage. While you control a face-up "Dark Smog", during each Standby Phase: You can Special Summon 1 "Miasma Token" (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 2000/DEF 0) to both players' sides of the field. During each Standby Phase, inflict 500 points of damage to the controller of a "Miasma Token" for each "Miasma Token" they control. If this card would be destroyed by your opponent's card (by battle or by card effect), you can discard 1 Fiend-Type monster instead. You can only control 1 "The Sad Monster - Raem".

 

I decided to make Raem from Final Fantasy - Crystal Chronicles.

 

I'd go into detail as to why each effect is what it is, but I'm super tired at the moment, so for now, I'll give you guys this link to do some research.

So, I like this. It's a cute little boss monster. And its a Gemini. Promotes the use of Dark Smog. Inflicts at least 500 damage to both player's every turn. This is really nice. Really cute. And really effective.

 

In advance, best not to be used so much as a monster. This in some sort of Fiend Resonator deck is the best use I can see. It summons tokens for the Resonators, they work with Dark Smog.

 

The worst part, as you know, is having to have Smog. But, as I previously said, that can also be useful. Sadly, the Resonator Synchro Deck is the only deck I can think of using this effectively in.

Well, I actually intended for this thing to be used in Dark Worlds, what with Dark Smog and all.

 

But now that you mention it, it does seem to work well with Resonators.

Yeah, I know you intended it to work in Dark Worlds. But it almost seems like too dead in that deck. (Then again, I haven't played them in years. Nonetheless seen them)
