Retrowave Cartrigeman

EARTH / Level 4

Machine / Effect

You can Discard another Machine-Type monster: Special Summon this card(from your hand). If this card is Summoned, you can Discard 1 WIND monster. If you don't, this card cannot attack and the following effect of this card cannot be activated. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, Draw 1 card. During your turn, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard, you can Banish this card from the Graveyard: Add from your Deck to your hand 1 LIGHT "Retrowave" monster.

Retrowave Bunny Ears

LIGHT / Level 4

If you control a face-up "Retrowave" monster, you can Special Summon this card(from your hand). You can only Special Summon "Retrowave Bunny Ears" this way, once per turn. Once per turn, you can send a "Retrowave" monster from your Deck to your Graveyard: Draw 1 card, and if you do, all monsters currently in your hand and Graveyard become the same Attribute as the sent monster, until the End Phase. If you activate this effect, you can only declare an attack with "Retrowave" monsters for the rest of the turn. During your turn, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard, you can Banish this card from the Graveyard: Add from your Deck to your hand 1 FIRE "Retrowave" monster.

Retrowave Easybake

FIRE / Level 4

If this card is flipped face-up, you can send up to 2 "Retrowave" cards from your hand/Deck to your Graveyard. If this card is Summoned, you can equip a LIGHT monster from either Graveyard to this card. While this card is equipped with a monster by this effect, it gains the following effect. You can Banish an EARTH monster from your Graveyard: Special Summon 1 "Retrowave" monster from your hand or Deck. You can only activate this effect of "Retrowave Easybake" once per turn. During your turn, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard, you can Banish this card from the Graveyard: Add from your Deck to your hand 1 DARK "Retrowave" monster.

Retrowave Zilla

DARK / Level 4

Machine / Effect

Once per turn, you can Discard 1 FIRE monster: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent. Then, this card gains 800 ATK until the End Phase. At the start of the Damage Step, if this card attacks an opponent's face-up EARTH monster: You can destroy that monster. While you control a face-up WATER monster, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, and you cannot activate it's other effect(s). During your turn, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard, you can Banish this card from the Graveyard: Add from your Deck to your hand 1 WIND "Retrowave" monster.

Retrowave Razor

Machine / Effect

If this card is Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 "Retrowave" monster from your hand or Graveyard, except "Retrowave Razor". You can equip this card from your hand or face-up on your side of the field to a face-up "Retrowave" monster you control. While this card is equipped to a monster by this effect, that monster's effect(s) are negted and it gains 800 ATK, and if it declares an attack your opponent cannot activate monster effect(s) until the end of the Damage Step. During your turn, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard, you can Banish this card from the Graveyard: Add from your Deck to your hand 1 WATER "Retrowave" monster.

Retrowave Slip-Slide

WATER / Level 4

Machine / Effect

While this card is face-up on the field, negate the effect(s) of all Trap cards on the field, during the Battle Phase. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 non-WATER "Retrowave" monster from your hand. Once per turn, you can Tribute another face-up "Retrowave" monster you control: Destroy 1 card on the field, and if you do, add from your Deck to your hand 1 "Retrowave" monster, except "Retrowave Slip-Slide", with a different Attribute from the Tributed monster. If a "Retrowave" monster you control is targeted by a card effect, you can Tribute this card from the field or your hand: Negate that effect. During your turn, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard, you can Banish this card from the Graveyard: Add from your Deck to your hand 1 EARTH "Retrowave" monster.

Retrowave's Retrowave

Spell

Add from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand 1 "Retrowave" monster. You can only activate this effect of "Retrowave's Retro Wave" once per turn, and you cannot Special Summon during the turn you activate this effect, except Machine-Type monsters. During your turn, you can Banish this card from your Graveyard and declare an Attribute: All monsters currently in your hand and Graveyard become the declared Attibute until the End Phase(Even if they are Summoned).

 

 

Retro Workout

Spell / Quick-Play

Change 1 Attack Position "Retrowave" monster you control to Defense Position, and if you do, change 1 Attack Position monster your opponent contrls to Defense Position. Then, switch control of the monsters who's battle positions were changed with this effect. Monsters who's battle positions were changed with this effect cannot change there battle positions this turn. During either player's turn, if a "Retrowave" monster you control would be destroyed(either by battle or card effect), you can Banish this card from your Graveyard: Draw 1 card. You cn only activate 1 effect of "Retro Workout" per turn, and only once that turn.

 

Retrowave Storage

Trap

Send up to 2 of your Banished "Retrowave" monsters to your Graveyard. Then, Draw 1 card, and if you do, gain 800 LP. you can only activate this effect of "Retrowave Storage" once per turn.

Basically I took the idea behind Genex monsters, with the whole Attibute manipulation thing, and put it to a more humorous idea.

Cartridgeman- You blow WIND on it or else it wont work

Bunny Ears- It advertises Retros; your cards buy into the hype/become it's Attribute; pays off with a draw

Easybake- You have to plug in a LIGHT monster to let it turn EARTH ingredients into something new

Zilla- Shoots FIRE; Can stomp on anything on the EARTH; Stays safe/sleeps while it's under WATER

Razor- Negates your effects so you get up and ride, instead of standing around; fuels the Deck because the exercise makes you stronger

Slip-Slide- You slide monsters on it into your opponent's cards; It searches other Retros because they are the ones who are next in line to slide on it

etc

 

You get the idea

'Course, I'm also allowing them to make actual plays on there own, instead of just being Gadgets that search miss-matching stuff and/or have unimpressive effects.

(Except Birdman and Undine, but that's another story)
