RavenofDeath
So, I've told my friends I'll be making a God Card for the entity of Death. And it probably is broken. I need to nerf it, but i cant really say how unless i make the attack and defense 0. The God of Death XYZ Effect Dark 12 None Secret Rare https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/54/e8/f0/54e8f0f54604086136afc7aff40ca8d0.jpg Tournament Edition TRN - 001 God 1 level 7 or higher cardThis card can be special summoned from the extra deck if you would take battle damage. Instead of taking battle damage, this card gains the battle damage you took and increases the Attack and Defense of this card by the battle damage. This counts as a quick-play spell, and cannot be negated. While this card is face up on the field, any spell, trap, or monster card can be used as XYZ material. This effect cannot be negated. If this card attacks a card, discard one XYZ material to destroy all spell and trap cards, and negate any effects, then banish that card. When this card banishes another card, it gains all of the attack of the banished card.If this card has accumulated 7,000 or more attack or defense, you win the duel. 1000 / 1000 Tournament Winner Card 2007 0000001 Any ideas? Trebuchet MS
Let's see... The God of DeathDARKRank 12[God/Xyz/Effect]1 level 7 or higher card monsterThis card can be special summoned from the extra deck If you would take Battle Damage, you can Special Summon this card by using 1 Level 7 or higher monster as the Xyz Material instead of taking battle damage, this card gains the battle damage you took and increases the Attack and Defense of this card by the battle damage (This Special Summon is considered an Xyz Summon, and cannot be negated). If this card is Summoned this way, it gains ATK and DEF equal to the battle damage you would have taken. This counts as a quick-play spell, and cannot be negated. While this card is face up on the field, During your Main Phase: You can attach any spell, trap, or monster number of cards you control to this card can be used as Xyz Materials. This effect cannot be negated. If this card attacks a card monster: You can discard detach 1 Xyz Material; to destroy all Spell/Trap cards on the field, and negate any the effects of all other face-up cards on the field, then banish the attack target, and if you do, When this card banishes another card, it gains all of the ATK equal to that monster's original ATK of the banished card. If this card's ATK or DEF is has accumulated 7,000 8000 or higher more attack or defense, you win the Duel.1000/1000This is how I interpret the unusual effects of this card - this interpretation might change how the card interacts with niche effects. Incredibly weird Summon method? Check.Very easy to Summon otherwise? Check.Boardwipe and assimilation? Check.Win Condition? Check. Okay, we have a bit of a problem on our hands. I don't know what kind of design you were going for, but this is bordering on overkill. First off, too easy to Summon. There's a damn good reason why every Xyz Monster requires a total of 2 or more cards to make. When it's going on the offense its ATK score literally doesn't matter since it does so much on swing your opponent might as well not even try. The target of its attack doesn't even get to try to fight back as it just gets assimilated. And that's just for when you're Summoning it normally. The alt-Summon for this card I believe I've misinterpreted, thinking that it's just an alternate Xyz Summon and you still need the Materials. If you actually don't need the Material to trigger this, it becomes leaps and bounds more powerful, capable of stopping an OTK and, if not answered promptly, turning around and reaching over 7000 ATK, just shy of an instant victory. Material replenishment basically means you don't need to worry jack sheet about how many times you can use its effects. I can somehow revive this card with Call of the Haunted and then attach Call to this card as an Xyz Material. Value? Value. It dies to the slightest bit of removal effects, but that's perhaps the only silver lining to facing this card. Then again, the one running this card will just put out another copy with incredible ease or revive the first.
RavenofDeath
To reply to your claims.Incredibly weird Summon method? Check. - Well, yeah. True. Can't say much there.Very easy to Summon otherwise? Check.- True again. Damn.Boardwipe and assimilation? Check.- Too much Exodia, i guess.Win Condition? Check.- yep. this was a request. -I intentionally made the card OP, that's how my friend wanted it. But I can see as to how this is also rediculously OP. -I agree. It's my bad. I was thinking about making the 7-star card a card that will be made to suit this card, but I didn't make it yet. Meh. -I dont think I specified in the alt-Summon, actually I didn't. You needed to have your summon requirement normally, and take over 1,000 damage. I didn't mean for the gaining of the ATK and DEF, that was one of the older models. Material replenishment basically means you don't need to worry jack sheet about how many times you can use its effects. I can somehow revive this card with Call of the Haunted and then attach Call to this card as an Xyz Material. Value? Value. -Yep. I deserve a spanking. So, this is what you put in. 1 level 7 or higher monster. (Since this is quite easy, i'll change it to 2 level 8 or higher monsters.)If you would take Battle Damage, you can Special Summon this card by using 1 Level 7 or higher monster as the Xyz Material. (I can see my wrongs here. But i think it should get to the level 8.)(If you would take Battle Damage, you can Special Summon this card by using 1 level 8 or higher monster as the Xyz Material.) If this card is Summoned this way, it gains ATK and DEF equal to the battle damage you would have taken. (Cool.)During your Main Phase: You can attach any number of cards you control to this card as Xyz Materials. This effect cannot be negated. (I can see that it would've been op.)If this card attacks a monster: You can detach 1 Xyz Material; destroy all Spell/Trap cards on the field, and negate any the effects of all other face-up cards on the field, then banish the attack target, and if you do, this card gains ATK equal to that monster's original ATK. (Ok. Sounds good.)If this card's ATK or DEF is 8000 or higher you win the Duel. (Surprised this got through. Meh.) Okay, cool! Thanks very much. Thanks again? Trebuchet MS
When I correct card effect phrasing, I usually try to reword them in a way which modern cards would do, without making many direct changes to the effects themselves. Misinterpretations may occasionally create results a little different from what the creator envisioned. This is supposed to allow for others to fully understand how the card is supposed to work and minimize ruling questions. Heavier modifications to the card effects are to be left to the card creator. I hope the card gets suitably toned down despite the clear design intention to be overpowered.
