Hello my name is Enguin
When your opponent activates a Spell Card: They can discard 1 Spell Card to negate this card's effect, otherwise negate the activation of their Spell Card, and if you do, destroy it. You block off the scales unless they minus themselves and spell speed 3 so they're not stopping it by other means. Always been a nice card, getting more relevant and better with pendulums now. Can't think of any spells being run in pendulum decks that they'd want to be discarding for nothing so it's going to hurt them regardless. I could be talking bollocks and not properly kept up though, discuss anyway.
Delibirb
Sends their scale to grave as well which is helpful for you. Not a terrible card in the pend matchup.
EndUser
I always loved this card. It's like saying "You'll pay a price anyway".The only decks the card is basically non-profitable against are Nekroz, Fluffal, some other Ritual-based decks and Monarchs. Maybe Spellbooks too. Unless someone's best plays are done with their monsters, the card is generally very good, but it's probably best as a Side solution.
Kaiji
TCG-Assuming Magician mirrors are a regular thing, unless the card is Wavering Eyes most backrow is discouraged because Dragonpit can easily snipe the 1 set (it should go without saying if you have multiple set especially going first you have a very weak hand), or if they play Hatricker/Jigabyte can DireWolf the set.-Knowing this, and with the assumption we are playing Magic Drain, this is probably one of better cards not named ASF (for obvious reasons) since it beats Pendulum Call, Wavering Eyes, and has a better trade-offs Scales than MST would.-Also given than the typical (or projected early build) Magician decklist runs around 10 spells (3 Wavering 3 Call 2 Sky Arc 1 Terraforming 1 Odd-Eyes) all of them are "power cards" where they would be at a disadvantage to lose either of them even if it means negating Drain (urgency increases when drain is chained to Call)-Upstart Goblin if played cancels itself out because it already has a higher likelihood of seeing a monster-You can negate Dragonpit Magician, however it's a little tough because of Insight dodging activations (if you do chain this to an insight, if they discard a pendulum call to negate it's a fair trade on their end as Call is useless in that scenario) Bunch of notes off top of my head
