Titan403
Spirit monsters do need support but I believe by byakko and Suzaku may have too powerful of monster effects. The text says summoned so this includes normal or special summon. Shock master is banned currently as a rank 4 that can do only slightly more than what byakko can. But byakko could potentially be pendulum summoned 2 or 3 at a time based on if the archetype would get more cards. The monster effect may be overwhelming for an opponent. Especially if multiples are available. And Suzaku is extremely strong. Most decks need their graveyard to play. If you constantly banish their graveyard each turn with him he will be overpowered with that monster effect.
Nobita Nobi
hmm....its true that i didnt consider multiple byakko/suzaku summon in a turn due to suzaku's restriction...perhaps i can add hard opt for both of them about byakko, shock master is powerful because it also covers your opponent turn, so they wont get chance to retaliate while byakko only provide safety for offensive move during your turn, so i think its okay with just hard OPT addition about suzaku......yeah maybe its a bit too powerful, guess i can make your opponent choose the card type if special summoned, and have it retain the original when tribute summoned, would it be okay that way? Fluffyfish
To be honest, Spirits and pendulum monsters wouldn't get along very well. Most spirits have effects that activate when they are normal summoned, therefore you don't really want to Special Summon then, even if it would be possible (and if you just want to use then as effectless monsters, you may as well not use spirits). Exceptions being Yamata Dragon and hino-kagu-tsuchi (the pyro guy), but they can't be Special Summoned for a reason (their effects can be pretty overwhelming). Though a pendulum that returns to hand in the end phase of the turn it's in the pendulum zone it's a interesting idea.
Titan403
Hmm I guess the hard OPT isnt exactly necessary if suzaku is the only possible way to get them out. Since he does limit the summons. But that means that you can only pendulum 1 spirit per turn, in addition to your normal summon, and current spirits have a way to normal twice, so you end with 3 spirits likely. So not bad. Also i dont know if making suzaku effect let your opponent choose is good, because then they will simply choose magic or trap, which has much less of an effect, also if they have none of that card in the grave it would do nothing. Maybe put it up to a number. Like up to 6 cards. That is really good because it lets you choose anywhere from 1-6 meaning that if they have just 1 card you need to target, and all the rest would get an effect from being banished, you could be more selective. Also current magic cards that banish such as soul release are strong but cap around 5 banishes. Yeah dont take away the choice being yours on suzaku. Maybe simply limit it so you cant simply wipe their grave every turn. Also why does the scale go to 9 if they are lvl 7. I think yamata dragon is also 7.
