You can target 1 Level 3 or lower Fish-Type monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it in face-up Defense Position. You can only activate this effect of "Cormolure" once per tun. You can Tribute 1 Fish-Type monster: this card gains 500 ATK. If this card destroys a Fish-Type monster by battle, draw 1 card.

My intent here is to make "Siren Orca" more usable without exhausting much card advantage, and also somewhat promote that forgotten Water/Winged Beast archetype ( the one that Konami introduced for the just sake of showcasing Rio Castle's cards). I do know that "Crane Crane" is an option, however, it doesn't really blend will with the Rank 4-esque engine that the Water/Winged-Beast (I personally played "Crane Crane" in a lot of decks).

 

Now you may be asking me why just Level 3 or lower Fish-Type? Why not Level 4 or lower? Well in all honesty there is already a Rank 4 spamming Water card: "Double Fin Shark". I want to give "Cormolure" the merit of also presenting Synchro Summoning with "Fishborg Archer", and it also promotes the use of "Siren Orca" in order to manipulate the levels.

 

As for the tributing and drawing effect based on Fish-Type, I just wanted to express the idea of a fishing bird, and provide more options based on this gimmick without necessarily breaking it

 

Name word play: Cormorant + Lure

 

My idea for an art piece of him is a bird with fishing pole body parts. Like his head as a fishing reel, his talons as a fishing hooks, etc. I envision his wings to be sails from a boat. I will probably work on it in the near future.
