"I used to think I was a monster for killing so many people up on the surface world, but I actually had a reason to up there. I was trying to survive. Up there, it was kill or be killed. But you, you kill just to kill. Down here it was different. In fact, I think I know why you think it's the same down here as it is up there... the first time I fell down here, a flower told me that. I thought I was mad. How could a flower be talking to me? Then I realized... why is a flower telling me this? Why is a flower telling me something that even the most sane killer up on the surface has told me? Then it occurred to me... sanity is nature's way of saying that you're part of nature. Sanity is what makes you considered "down-to-Earth." You're aware enough of reality and the duality of life and death to know what's real and what isn't. But you... ha ha... you're different. Instead of knowing what's real, all you care about is what isn't. All you care about is what isn't left of this world besides you. Well let me tell you... as a human, I take offense to what you're trying to tell this world. This world, as you came here to contest against, is the same as the world you fell from. This world, as you refuse to make of it, consists of life as much as you refuse that of the surface world, which I assume is what aspired you to rid of such upon your entrance. Well, since I used to be like you in the surface world, I'll have you know what upon entering this world, even a monster as I claimed myself of being has redeemed himself. As a former monster of the surface world, even I have the mindset to refer to you as a real monster of this world. Even you, a human in a world of monsters, deserve to be sunk deeper than the Hell that these folk have been damned to endure." - A Common Thug challenges you.
