Flipflopfrog Posted January 14, 2016 Report Share Posted January 14, 2016 The Technomads Here's my first deck (intended for the TCG), I would appreciate any feedback regarding balance, fixes and especially artwork. I will be adding artwork but I'm not very artistic so it will be slow :) The artwork style I'm planning on going for is ragged people with bits of technology incorporated into their clothes (and in some cases their bodies), because they are meant to be scavengers of a post-apocalyptic world. They're a deck based on equip spells that have three types of effect;One that gives an ATK boostOne that sends itself to the graveyard to do a second effect (mostly)And one that only works when it is discarded from the hand (because discarding them is their main play)Many of the monster effects discard from the hand in order to get the equip spells into the graveyard until they are then equipped by the monster's secondary effects on the field. The main deck monsters are all level 3, WATER/Machine monsters, and the extra deck monsters are similar. They have usually got two effects; one to search from deck/recycle and one to summon, and the cost is often discarding (in order to get the spell's effects off) Here are the cards, in a logical order: Equip Spells Techno-diskdrive The equipped Monster gains 500 ATK for each equip spell you control. When your opponent activates a trap card, you can send this equipped card to the graveyard to negate the activation and destroy it. If this card is discarded to the Graveyard, you can target one Monster your opponent controls; that monster loses 800 ATK. Techno-fusebox The equipped Monster gains 300 ATK for each "Techno" card you control. When your opponent summons a Monster, you can tribute the equipped Monster to negate the summon and destroy it. If this card is discarded to the Graveyard, you can banish one card from your opponent's graveyard. Techno-lightbulb The equipped Monster gains 200 ATK for each "Techno" card in your graveyard. When your opponent activates a spell card, you can send this equipped card to the graveyard to negate the activation and destroy it. If this card is discarded to the Graveyard, you can send 2 cards from the top of your opponent's deck to the Graveyard. Techno-magnet The equipped Monster gains 100 ATK for each card on the field. When your opponent draws a card(s), except during the draw phase, you can send this equipped card to the graveyard to banish the card(s) they drew, face-down. If this card is discarded to the Graveyard, you can banish one card from your opponent's graveyard. Techno-wiring The equipped Monster gains 1000 ATK. During the battle phase, you can send this equipped card to the graveyard; the Monster this card was equipped to gains 1500 ATK and is unaffected by other card effects until the end of the Battle Phase. If this card is discarded to the Graveyard, you can destroy one spell/trap your opponent controls. "Technomad" Monsters Technomad Afterburner If this card is added to your hand by a card effect, you can discard a "Techno" equip spell to special summon this card. When this card is summoned by the effect of a "Technomad" monster, you can equip a "Techno" equip spell from your Graveyard to a monster you control. Technomad Drillbit Once per turn, when you discard a "Techno" equip spell, you can discard this card to add a "Technomad" monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. When an equip spell is equipped to this card, you can discard a card to banish one face-up card your opponent controls, and if you do; gain 800 LP. Technomad Dual Exhaust Once per turn, when this card is discarded by the effect of a "Techno" card, you can Special Summon it, then add a "Techno" equip spell from your Graveyard to your hand. If this card is added to your hand by a card effect, you can discard a "Techno" monster to add a "Techno" monster from your deck to your hand. Technomad Gearbox If this card is in your Graveyard, you can activate this effect; When a "Techno" equip spell is discarded to the Graveyard you can Special Summon this card, then equip the discarded card to a monster you control. You can only use the effect of "Technomad Gearbox" once per turn. Technomad Piston When this card is summoned, you can Special Summon a "Technomad" monster from your Graveyard. If this card is added to your hand, you can discard a "Techno" equip spell to add a "Techno" monster or equip spell from your deck to your hand. Technomad Satellite You can discard a "Technomad" card to Special Summon this card from your hand, then if you control a face-up equip spell you can discard one random card from your opponent's hand. When this card is targeted for an attack, you can equip a "Techno" equip spell card from your graveyard to a monster you control. You can only use each effect of "Technomad Satellite" once per turn. Technomad Tesla If this card is summoned, equip a "techno" equip spell from your Graveyard to this card. When this card declares an attack, you can reveal the top card of your deck; if it is a "Technomad" monster, add it to your hand, otherwise discard it. Technomad Buggy Blaster 2 Level 3 WATER MonstersWhen a "Technomad" monster you control battles, you can detach an xyz material from this card; "Technomad" Monsters you control gain 500 ATK for each face-up spell on the field until the end of the Battle Phase. Once per Duel, you can attach an equip spell from your graveyard to this card as an Xyz material. Technomad Technoman 3 Level 3 WATER MonstersYou can detach an Xyz material from this card; banish one card from your opponent's Graveyard and equip a spell from your graveyard to this card. You can discard any number of spells from your hand or field; "Technomad" monsters you control gain 500 ATK for each and cannot be targeted by card effects. These changes last until the end of the next Battle Phase. You can only use this effect once while this card is face-up on the field. Technomad Triple Driver 2 Level 4 WATER MonstersYou can also summon this card once per turn by using a "Technomad" Xyz monster as the material (This is treated as an Xyz Summon.) When this card is summoned, you can detach all Xyz materials from it; destroy cards your opponent controls up to the number of face-up spells you control. Technomad Controller Connection 1 WATER tuner and 1 non-tuner MonsterOnce per turn, you can discard a card; equip a "Techno" spell from your Graveyard to a monster you control, except the discarded card. When this card is destroyed, you can add 1 "Techno" spell from your Graveyard to your hand. Technomad Livewire 1 WATER tuner and 1 non-tuner MonsterOnce per turn, you can target one face-up spell; destroy it and if you do, destroy one card on the field. Trap and Monster effects cannot be activated in response to this effect's activation. When this card is destroyed, you can add 1 "Techno" monster from your Graveyard to your hand. Technomad Digital Destroyer 1 WATER tuner and 1 or more non-tuner MonstersOnce per turn, you can discard a spell and a Monster; Special Summon a "Technomad" Monster from your Graveyard and equip it with a "Techno" equip spell from your Graveyard. You cannot use the discarded cards for this effect. When this card is destroyed, you can banish a "Techno" card from your Graveyard; draw a card. Technomad Gas Guzzler 2 "Technomad" Monsters from your Extra DeckMust be Special Summoned by banishing the above materials you control (You do not use "Polymerisation". This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.) This card and spells equipped to it cannot be destroyed by card effects. (I'm not so sure about this one. Might remove it or do a drastic change) Support Technomad Pulse Player Once per turn, during your Main Phase 2 , you can activate these effects based on how many equip spells you have discarded this turn;. 1 or more: gain 500 LP. 2 or more: draw a card. 3 or more: you can send this card to the Graveyard; add a "Techno" card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. Technomad Junkyard Jam When you discard or destroy a spell card you own, you can activate this card; destroy two spell/trap cards your opponent controls. Tech Boostist Once per turn, when this card is discarded by a card effect, you can add one WATER/Machine monster, except "Tech Boostist", or one "Tech" equip spell from your graveyard to your hand, then you can discard a spell card from your hand. Tech Booster The equipped Monster gains 800 ATK. When your opponent takes damage, you can send this equipped card to the graveyard; deal 1000 damage to your opponent. When this card is discarded to the Graveyard, you can draw a card. (Those last two cannot be searched by the "Technomad effects but have effects that work in similar ways. I intended them to work with the archetype in a similar way to "Duck Fighter" with the "Mecha Phantom Beast" archetype.)
