Misfortune Cat (R1 Xyz)

I was just messing around with some concepts for R1 Xyz Monsters (the only decent cards are dullahan and that Sylvan Princess), and came up with this.

3 Level 1 monsters

When your opponent Summons a monster(s): You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; change that monster(s) to Defense Position. While this card has Xyz Material, monsters your opponent controls cannot change their battle positions. If all monsters your opponent controls are Defense Position monsters, this card can attack your opponent directly.

 

 

 

A decent card on its own (can help finishing games and establishing control) and probably quite good on Ghostricks decks (gotta love the lockdowns). It should also open some possibilities for more R1 Xyz decks (seriously, they didn't even tried to give R1 decent cards), although there's probably not enough decks that benefits from it, but they really need more options, so here's that.

I like the idea, but I wish you could choose to Summon this card with more monsters. Like a "2 or more (max. 5) Level 1 monsters", although a Max of 5 is probably a bit much, maybe 4? Also, was the first effect intended to be "exactly 1 monster" or "monster(s)", because you have to be specific these days.

Yep. I took to long to ask myself the question: "What happens against Pendulum Summon?"

So changed to "monster(s)" (and to change to Defense Position directly, just so you can avoid a bait or something in a Pendulum Summon).

Also, it was changed to how I originally perceived it: A 3 mat R1.

I thought it wouldn't be good enough to spend 3 monsters on, but just with 2 materials you can't do much anyway (I think anything further than 3 may be unnecessary tbh), so it's probably better as a 3 mat after all (if I think its too weak later I will give it a protection or something).
