Guest BGMCANN0N
False I.D. Equip Spell Declare 1 Monster Card name: the equipped monster's name is also treated as the declared name. If a monster on the field or in either player's Graveyard shares the declared name, other than the equipped monster: Destroy this card. The equipped monster cannot be used for an XYZ material for a Summon. [spoiler=Design Notes]I'm sure someone is going to heavily criticize the potential applications of this card, and they are fully welcome to. But, I wanted to make this card reference or rather make a cameo of Goblin Calligrapher and his "False" motif. I will probably somewhere down the line revisit this idea and give my Photoshop skills a run for its money, but until then... Meh. [spoiler=References]http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Goblin_Calligrapherhttp://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Fake_Trap Edits:Made it so that cannot have easy access Utopia the Lightning and Cyber Dragon Infinity by adding an anti-XYZ restriction.Changed the "becomes" to "also treated as" under Dova's suggestion. Yuuji Kazami
Interesting. This would increase the consistency for a Deck that focuses on Armatyl or even Horakhty. Hidden Armory would add the equipped card to your hand. This could also help speed up Fusion with their specific requirements, so you can have 1 monster equipped with this card and another fusion substitute monster to make something big, such as Dragon Master Knight. The drawback is fine as well.
Dova
This makes so many decks more splashable, but at the same time, equips haven't got that much support outside of Hidden Armory. An interesting Counterpart to this card is Fusion Tag, a Normal Spell that reveals a Fusion monster with a name on it, then one monster you control gets that name. This card is more useful in the sense that it could be anything, but at the same time weaker, because it is vulnerable to MST (i.e. chain to Poly or something or other). But that cost at the end...wow. I mean, to be honest, this is only useful early game. I wanna summon Leo Dancer AT ANY POINT :( But hey, I can see why it might be necessary, allowing you to practically do anything and- Wait. Declare 1 Monster Card name: the equipped monster's name becomes the declared name.Hold on. The equipped monster's name becomes the declared name.No way. becomes the declared name If I'm reading this right, that overrides HOPT. Please change it to "also treated as". plz. i liek my balanced yugimon In any case, interesting card and reference!
Guest BGMCANN0N
Little clarification needed as I am not 100% knowledgeable on all of the community's little colloquial terminology... What do you mean by HOPT? Ohhh.... I just realized something. This can go into Infinity or Utopia the Lightning stack.... Uhhh.... Sh*t.. I'll fix that. Dova
Little clarification needed as I am not 100% knowledgeable on all of the community's little colloquial terminology... What do you mean by HOPT? Oops, just something I use on shorthand that some of the more shorthanded people get, sorry for not elaborating. I meant Hard Once per Turn (Because once per turn is normally abbreviated to OPT), which is "You can only activate/use the effect of "X" once per turn." I meant if its name changed, surely its a "different monster's" effect?
Guest BGMCANN0N
Ohhh. I got you... Well I sort of borrowed some bits of Elemental HERO Prisma's wording thinking that it wouldn't be that big of a problem. But, I see how it could make it a huge dilemma by messing around with name changes like that, and potentially recycling broken effects. Nonetheless, I made the change comfortably with a hunch that you had good reasoning. Lastly, thanks a million for the clarification and output. dustdevil9
Omg you could use this in Synchro decks that require specific materials by name and turn them into the specified monster. Like you could make this useful to bring out Sun and Moon Dragon.
