The Maldit archetype is an archetype of monsters consisting of Ritual and Spirit Monsters. As of now, there is only 1 "Maldit" monster which is neither a Ritual or Spirit Monster. The Maldit archetype is based off numerous Massacres or events that lead to the elimination of many souls. The name Maldit is short for the word Cursed in spanish Maldito. All non-Ritual Maldit Monsters cantain the word "SIN" in their names since they are all "cursed" or Malditos . All Ritual Monsters relate to one event in World History where many sould died or that caused mass destruction. This archetype was made to provoke the fear in the opponent and the real feeling of old Ritual Summoning (where monsters are actually sacrificed).

 

 

 

 

Part I-

History: In a world dominated by Angels and Gods, a witch named Sinthia (Maldit Sinthia) found the portal to the demon world, the Phantom Realms. Using these strange and cursed artifacts, she opened the portal to the land of the demons where deceased people resurrected as "visions" whose existence in this world was temporal. Sinthia would offer these revived beings as sacrifices for the Masters of the Demon World. She would then revived the sacrifices by using the Phantom Realms and thus perform infinite number of Rituals. With these newly formed Demon army, she went on and attacked the rulers of the planet... the Gods.

ATK: 2700  DEF: 2100

Can be Ritual Summoned with any “Phantom Realm” card. During the End Phase of the turn this card was destroyed (either by battle or by a card effect) you can special summon it from your graveyard. Once per turn, during either player’s turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect; you can inflict 500 damage to your opponent. Once per turn, when a card effect that would inflict effect damage is activated, you can activate this effect: This card gains 500 ATK. You can discard this 1 card to increase the ATK and DEF of 1 “Maldit” monster you control by 600 until the End Phase.

Lore: This Monster is based off "Manifest Destiny". The United States ambition to spread from coast to coast , increasing its power and prestige. Unfortunately, someone must pay the price, and those were the Native Americans who were massacred and removed from their lands to accomplish this. Manifest Destiny is depicted by a woman, an angel (eva). The effect keeps pushing the enemy (inflicting) into a corner like the indians as it rewards herself (increasing its ATK) like the US.

ATK: 2400  DEF: 2100

Can be Ritual Summoned with any “Phantom Realm” card. Your opponent must conduct their Battle Phase if able. During either player’s Battle Phase, you can activate this effect: Target 2 monsters on the field, proceed damage calculation between the two targeted monsters. If this monster is destroyed (either by battle or by a card effect); you can special summon it from your graveyard. You can only use this effect of “Maldit” once per turn. You can discard this 1 card when your opponent declares an attack, you choose the attack target.

Lore: This Monster is based off the Massacre at Goliad, where Mexican troops brutally massacred a whole town during the Texas revolution. No one was spare but the woman and children. On those times Mexicans were on a Purge to hunt down the revolutionary Texans. This Monster literally forces the opponent to attack themselves! This Monster's Main purpose is just that, to Purge down the opponent's monster and to destroy them with their own weapons.

ATK: 2700  DEF: 2100

Can be Ritual Summoned with any “Phantom Realm” card. Once per turn, during either player’s turn, you can tribute any number of monsters from your side of the field and/or hand; your opponent must send cards from their side of the field and/or hand equal to the number of monsters you tributed, then draw 1 card. Each time a card (s) is sent to your opponent’s graveyard; inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each one. During the End Phase of the turn this card was destroyed (either by battle or by a card effect); special summon it, but it’s ATK and DEF becomes 0. You may discard this 1 card; add 1 Spirit Monster from your Deck to your hand.

Lore: this Monster is based off Canibalism. This Monster literally eats your opponent cards by eating (tributing) your own! Its based off also from the famous sniper, so yeah.

ATK: 3300 DEF:3000
Can be Ritual Summoned with any “Phantom Real” card. If this card is special summoned; you can destroy up to 2 spell/trap cards on the field. If you would take effect damage, you can activate this effect: destroy 1 card on the field. Each time a card(s) on the field is destroyed, inflict 500 damage to your opponent. During the End Phase of the turn this monster is destroyed (either by battle or by a card effect); take 500 damage, then special summon it from your graveyard. You can discard this 1 card to negate the destruction of a “Maldit” monster you control (this is a quick effect).

Lore: Based off the death of the Duke of Hungary. After his death, Hungary was furious and began war, Russia then went on to stop Hungary and many others country joined to etc. causing World War 1. This event led to one of the most bloodiest war the world has ever seen, trench warfare! Sarajevo was the town where the Duke of Hungary was shot dead, as well as his wife and children. This Monster punishes the opponent every time you take damage.

When this monster is Normal Summoned, target 1 monster card in your graveyard; place that target onto one of your unoccupied monster zones. It cannot attack, activate its effects and it is returned to the graveyard during the End Phase. If this card is tributed; take 1000 damage and add 1 “Maldit” card from your Deck or graveyard to your hand.

If you would ritual summon a "Maldit" Ritual Monster, you may treat this card and 1 other monster in your hand or field as the entire tributes for the ritual summon of that monster. If this monster is tributed; take 1000 damage and destroy 1 card on the field.

Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be special summoned (from your hand) when you take any kind of damage. During the End Phase of the turn it is Special Summoned or flipped face-up, return it to the hand. Once per turn, you can discard 1 Ritual Monster to add 2 Spirit Monsters to your hand (one from your graveyard and one from your Deck). When your opponent activates a Spell/Trap card while you control a Ritual Monster, you can return this face-up card on the field to the hand to negate that Spell/Trap card activation and destroy it.

If this monster is tributed; draw 1 card and take 1000 damage.

When a Ritual Monster(s) is Special Summoned to your side of the field; you may send this face-up card on the field to inflict damage to your opponent equal to the original ATK of the summoned Ritual Monster(s). If this card is tributed from the hand; take 1000 damage and draw 1 card.

This 1 card can be used as the entire tribute for the Ritual Summon of any DARK ritual monster. During your Main Phase, if this card was tributed this turn, you can activate this effect: Both players can add 1 Spirit monster from their decks to their hands. During the End Phase of the turn a DARK ritual monster is destroyed by battle or by a card effect, you can special summon this card from your graveyard. If you activated this effect, take 500 damage.

If you would take effect damage; you can discard this card from your hand, any effect damage you take this turn becomes an effect that would make you gain LP instead. During your Main Phase, you can banish this card from your graveyard, any effect damage you take for the rest of this turn becomes 100. If this card is tributed; take 500 damage and draw 1 card.

 

 

Ritual Spell cards

This card is used to Ritual Summon any “Maldit” Ritual Monster from your hand. You must also tribute monsters from your hand or from either player’s side of the field whose total levels equals the level of the Ritual Monster you want to Summon. If you tributed monsters from your opponent, take 2000 damage. During your Main Phase, if you control no Ritual Monsters, you can banish this card from your graveyard; tribute all monsters you control (Min: 1) and Ritual Summon 1 “Maldit” Ritual Monster from your hand or graveyard. It cannot attack and it is destroyed during the End Phase.

This card is used to Ritual Summon any “Maldit” Ritual Monster from your hand or graveyard. You must also tribute Spirit Monsters from your hand or field whose total levels equals the level of the Ritual Monster you want to Summon. If your life points are lower than your opponent and you have no Ritual Monster, you may tribute Spirit Monsters from your Deck as well. During your Main Phase, if you control no Ritual Monster(s), you can banish this card from your graveyard; tribute all monsters you control (Min:1) and Ritual Summon 1 “Maldit” Ritual Monster from your Deck or Graveyard, it’s effects are negated and it is returned to the hand during your opponent’s End Phase.

You can reveal 1 "Maldit" Ritual Monster and 1 Spirit Monster in your hand; tribute 1 face-up monster and the revealed Spirit Monster, then Special Summon the revealed Ritual Monster from your hand (this is treated as a Ritual Summon). During your Main Phase, if you control no Ritual Monster(s), tribute all monsters you control (Min:1), then Ritual Summon 1 “Maldit” Ritual Monster from your Deck whose level is equal to or lower than the combined levels of all monsters tributed. If you activated this effect, during the End phase, take 1000 damage.

Yes I did. I almost never find really good pictures in google that represents cards that I make so I decided to draw them myself.

 

Wisinja and Sinthia are missing their stats.

 

And I generally like the Rituals you've got. They're unique, distinct, and very useful. That, and I love that they've got some history behind them as well.

Oh yeah I didn't notice that. I 'll add them when I have time. And thanks for the comentaries. As far as the story goes, I'm working on a next archetype which will take place in the same storyline as this archetype. Sort of like a Duel Terminal story.
