Rhythm Heaven cards

I've decided to make a few cards based on the rhythm game, Rhythm Heaven. I plan on eventually making more of them, but for now I've hit a bit of a wall in terms of creativity towards these cards, so all I have is these five.

 

R. H. Clappy Member / EARTH

Beast / Effect

This card gains 300 ATK for every additional face-up "R. H. Clappy Member" you control.

700 ATK / 800 DEF

 

R.H. Baxter / WIND

Pendulum Scale: 1

Pendulum Effect: If "R. H. Forthington" is in your other Pendulum Zone, then all "R.H." monsters on your side of the field gain 500 ATK.

Winged Beast / Pendulum / Effect

If you control at least 1 face-up "R.H. Forthington", then this card gains 700 ATK and 300 DEF.

1500 ATK / 1900 DEF

 

R.H. Forthington / WIND

Pendulum Scale: 7

Pendulum Effect: If "R.H. Baxter" is in your other Pendulum Zone, then all "R. H." monsters on your side of the field gain 500 DEF.

Winged Beast / Pendulum / Effect

If you control at least 1 face-up "R. H. Baxter", then this card gains 300 ATK and 700 DEF.

1900 ATK / 1500 DEF

Catch of the Day / Continuous Spell

Once per turn: During the Draw Phase, roll a die; draw 2 1 cards during one of the following Phases.

- Rolled 1, 2: Draw Phase

- Rolled 3, 4: Main Phase 1 2

- Rolled 5, 6: End Phase

 

Rhythm Heaven / Field Spell

As long as at least 1 "R. H." monster is summoned every turn, then all "R. H." monsters gain 800 ATK and 800 DEF.

This card gains 200 ATK and 300 DEF for every additional face-up "R. H. Chorus Man" you control.

Beast-Warrior / Synchro / Effect

3 "R. H. Chorus Man"

If you control 1 or more face-up "R. H. Glee Instructor": This card gains 600 ATK.

2700 ATK / 2800 DEF

Beast

300 ATK / 500 DEF

 

Ringside Interview / Trap card

When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Target that monster, then flip a coin.

- Heads: The attack is negated, and the target is changed to Defense Position.

- Tails: This card does nothing, and is destroyed.

Megamix / Quick-Play Spell

Your opponent loses 200 LP for every face-up "R.H." monster on the field. Only 1 "Megamix" can be activated per turn.

As a fellow fan of the Rhythm Heaven series, I gotta say properly adapting the characters is a tricky task. Mainly because there's nothing that really properly ports over to card games.

 

Catch of the Day, however, is pretty powerful stuff. If it sits around for 1 turn, the card advantage you accumulate is immense, with the only variable being when you get it (and 2 of the 3 outcomes are effectively the same thing). Most archetypes only get a draw 2 card with extra restrictions, this card can get pretty bonkers if left alone for a little too long. Reduce the draw to 1 card and it'll sit a little easier.

RH Packing Pest Employee is terrible even by pre-Synchro standards. Needing a Tribute makes his 1900 ATK subpar, and his effect is very, very niche and doesn't even stand out from that niche.

Hmmm... Updating the card itself won't be instant, but I can try making a couple of changes to the written text below it. I also have a few other new cards to add now, so I'll add those at the same time. I just need to upload them to imgur first.

3 things have happened with the current update:

1) The Catch of the Day card got an effect update (besides the balance update that had been recommended before).

2) The Catch of the Day and R. H. Packing Pest Employee cards had their images updated to match their current effects and statistics!

3) For those who hadn't noticed previously, I had added 4 new cards a day or so ago. Check them out if you haven't already.

Once again, the line-up has been expanded upon. Even though my fourth update to this set only adds one new card, the new card is in celebration of the newly announced Rhythm Heaven Megamix being released in North America later this year.
