Update on the DAD Vs. DDT war...

Because DAD goes off turn 2 and DDT goes off turn 3.

But do you think that DDT could still be sped up?

Only if it stops using Diamond Dude.

What would replace Diamond Dude? I'm still thinking it would have to be a D-Hero or something.

I have no idea what, but Diamond Dude's effect requires you to wait a turn, which is far too long nowadays - especially if you plan on searching it with Stratos, in which case you can't benefit from his effect until Turn 3 (you know, the turn after DAD trampled you).

Well, the way I see it, Diamond Dude's role is in thinning the Deck right now, but it's also the strongest Level 4 Destiny Hero. So I suppose that it's also there to be a beatstick. If we can afford to drop Diamond Dude to 1 or even remove it, we could include something like Wildheart or Neos Alius, which are also searchable through Stratos and Reinforcements. The only problem is that we would also have to drop D-Draw by some amount.

DAD is not as reliant as OTKing as DDT is. Subsequently, DDT is not as reliant on OTKing as Magical Explosion is, explaining the better showing of DDT vs Explosion.

In addition, DAD is also much more consistent, relying on raw draw power rather than leaving part of it to chance in the milling of cards via Reasoning/Monster Gate.

Speed-wise: Explosion > DDT >>> DAD

EDIT: DAD DDTs are the future.

Turbo decks and FTK's are the funnest decks to play. Period.

except they're not. You just play cards' date=' you don't really need to think anymore.

And games last about 3 minutes, meaning you get more of them in.... You play for the same win condition, and I see no problem with that.

No...A match is 3 games, regardless of the time each game takes.

Also, the objective isn't to see whether you draw into DAD and Dimension Fusion before your opponent does in a non-turbo deck. I never thought I'd say this, but I miss the Age of Monarchy.

To first sentence: What? I said I get more games in, which means more matches in. I said nothing about how many games I got in per match.

And Yugioh's objective has always been to win, and this format just makes it a lot easier to do so having killed all your opponents cards and having a lot of your own cause the killing.

It only makes winning a lot easier to do if you have an extremely high Money : Skill ratio.

Exactly. This makes it easier. For your brain. You just play. Without thought. Why bother playing at all? Yugioh is supposed a brain game. (well, not really, it is a children's card game.)
