I feel like this is a short cut to xyz that require too many materials, or using an Archetype specific xyz monster for a one time effect. If this was a quick play I could see it being much more dangerous

It lasts until the next turn (to make quick effects alive), so there is no need to make this card, as you said, more dangerous than it already is or could be.
