Kanashimi
Well as you probably know, Ritual Monster + Ritual Spell play is a huuuuuuuuuuuge minus play to be made. You need exact Spell for the exact Monster, and you even need to Tribute monsters to do that. That's why people rarely play Ritual these days, since in this format, hand and field advantage is important. That's why i present you, Synchro Ritual :[spoiler= '']Medusa Gorgon, the SerpentriderEARTH/Level 8Reptile/Synchro/Ritual/EffectMust first be Ritual Summoned with "Serpentrider Gaze" (This card's Ritual Summon is also treated as Synchro Summon). Cards your opponent's control in the same column as this card has its effect negated, if it is a monster, it cannot declare an attack. During either player's End Phase: You can target 1 of your banished "Gorgon's Blessing" or 1 "Perseus, the Serpentslayer"; return it to the Graveyard.2800/1000 There's plus and minus regarding it, but to put it simply :> You dont need to search out Monster + Spell to play, you just need spell only (and of course some monsters for tributes)> Less cloggy and dead card, since the monster is in the ED instead of MD> Well sadly, Pre-Preparation of Rites wont work (atleast you still have Manju/Sonic Bird anyway)> Also treated as Synchro and Ritual Monsters at the same time, this means cards that benefits either Synchro or Rituals also benefit this, instead cards that counter Synchro or Rituals also counter this> You need Tuner and non-Tuner as Tributes, and exact level too (refer to how Synchro Summon played), so basically like Synchro Summon with Spell that helps you to Synch the Tuner and non-Tuner without them being Summoned into the field (or should i make them level 8 or more to make it easier? instead of exact level? hmmm) Rest of the Medusa-series:[spoiler= '']Perseus, the SerpentslayerEARTH/Level 4Warrior/EffectYou can reveal this card from your hand, then reveal 1 Reptile-Type monster from your hand or target 1 monster you control; its Level becomes 4, and if you do, you can treat this card as Tuner monster until the End Phase. During your Main Phase, if you control "Medusa Gorgon, the Serpentrider": You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it.1800/1600 Serpentrider GazeSpell/RitualThis card is used to Ritual Summon "Medusa Gorgon, the Serpentrider" from your Extra Deck. You must also Tribute 1 Tuner and 1 or more non-Tuner monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels equal 8. During your End Phase, if you control Reptile-Type monsters: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Gorgon's Blessing" or 1 "Medusa's Call" from your Deck to your hand. Gorgon's BlessingTrap/CounterIf you control "Medusa Gorgon, the Serpentrider", you can activate this card from your hand. You can also banish this card from your Graveyard to activate 1 of these effects. You can only activate 1 "Gorgon's Blessing" effect per turn, and only once that turn.● Target 1 Reptile-Type monster you control: it gains 100 ATK and DEF for each cards in both player's side of the field.● Target 1 Reptile-Type monster you control; move it to an adjacent unoccupied Monster Zone. Medusa's CallSpell/Quick-PlayIf you control "Medusa Gorgon, the Serpentrider", you can activate this card from your hand. Add 1 Level 8 Reptile-Type monster or 1 "Perseus, the Serpentslayer" from your Deck to your hand. If you control "Medusa Gorgon, the Serpentrider": You can Special Summon that monster instead of adding it to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Medusa's Call" per turn. So thats it, any feedback regarding this Synchro-Ritual stuff or Medusa-series is much much appreciated, and . . . . time to sleep now zzZ
mr. waifu
How did you make a card like that? Also I like the concept, but it still needs to be easier to Summon. Mabye you can have it to where it only needs a Tuner and non-Tuner, but certain levels?
Kanashimi
thx for the reply~ mhm . . . simple image editing program will do (i use Ps here) or just use the online image editor (like Pixlr, much better than Ps in terms of importing png and cropped image) basically i just use TCGEditor to make 2 same cards (1 Synchro and 1 Ritual) then place both in the same layer on image editing program, then delete/erase half of the card from the upper layer (the top most) and voila, you get half-blue and half-white card (same like pendulum) umm what do you mean certain Levels? like "Level 8 or more . . ." like that? Yuuji Kazami
What the hell is this aasdfghjmkljkdk? Jk, I'll give you a thorough review later. I'm still working on Toadtotter. Okay, so for the Ritual Synchro, I'm a little lost. Just how are you going to Synchro Summon it? sheet. It was an archetype. I was tricked... ;_; Starting with the set first: Perseus: Okay, the effect is actually rather generic. A valid target for ROTA, and it can change the levels of ANY reptile-type monster in your hand or a monster on the field to four, and then transforms itself into a Tuner. You can splash this into Tellarknights easily, and then they would also have the advantage of going for Level 8 Synchros. The second effect is archetype specific, but there's the possibility of acting as a Fire lake if you have 3 copies in your Graveyard to banish. (None of them are hard OPTed) Note: Wait... So you can pretty much keep revealing the card and turn all your monsters to Level 4 for a generic Xyz? I don't know if that was intentional... o_O Gaze: Okay, so this is how you get the card out. I agree, it makes the Ritual less dead and more viable for summoning. (I wonder if Rituals will ever get a ruling change to be placed in the Extra Deck?). The last effect is a bit questionable, because you're saying you have to control Reptile-Type monsters. So did you mean that you must control 2 or more Reptile-Types to resolve the banish and add? Or did you mean that you only needed to control 1 Reptile-Type monster? Blessing: Okay, I see where you are trying to go with this. Pretty unique, as basically the cards in the same zone as Medusa gets locked down. (Although they can still be used as material for Summons). The first effect acts as a Damage Step card to overpower the opponent's monster, while the second effect moves the monsters around to lock down the opponent's zones. Interesting combo here. Call: So I guess the set is going to receive more support in the future with the first part about a Level 8 Reptile. The second effect gets perseus to your hand faster, and there's no worry for massive swarming because the card is limited to 1 usage per turn. Medusa: Going back to the first card, it can be very useful in stopping the cards that share the same opposite zone. I'd recommend that you boost the effect to the monster not being able to be used as material for a summon. This is because you're only allowed 3 copies of Medusa, and your opponent can still fight back with two zones left. Of course, this means that you an't add more cards with the same effect as Medusa. However, because of the requirement of how Medusa needs to be Summoned, and since that she doesn't have a protection effect for herself, I think it'll be acceptable to boost her up to that much. If not, then limit the effect to that the monster cannot be used as material for a specific summon(s) instead. Final rating for baka's current progress: 9/10. Full points for art, and for a creative/interesting concept.
