Beamers and Phazes are like the new type of Ritual monsters, but have more of an easy use. Beamers-They are like Pendulums, but the share the Spell/Trap zone with the other cards.-You can choose whether you want your face-up Beamer in the Spell/Trap zone to be counted as a Spell card OR Trap card, both continuous.-They all have effects; There are no normal Beamers.-Are necessary for the Summon of a Phaze monster. Phaze-They can not be Summoned unless you have a specific Beamer in the Spell/Trap zone.-Like Beamers, there are no normal Phazes.-Even if you have the needed Beamer in the Spell/Trap zone, you still need to go through tributes, Summoning conditions,etc.-All Phazes have the same level as their Beamer counterpart. So far I have 2 Beamers and Phazes: Emperor-Wise SamuraiLevel 4ATK: 1600 DEF: 1900LIGHTWarrior / Beamer / Effect You can activate this card in your Spell/Trap zone as a face-up continuous Spell card OR face-up continuous Trap card. If a face-up defense position monster is targeted for an attack: You can banish this card (From your Spell/Trap zone.) and target the attacked monster, and that cards DEF is doubled during Damage Calculation. While this card is banished, and you have another Beamer monster in your Graveyard: You can banish that monster, and add this card to your hand. Emperor-Wise NinjaLevel 3ATK: 1700 DEF: 0DARKWarrior / Beamer / Effect You can activate this card in your Spell/Trap zone as a face-up continuous Spell card OR face-up continuous Trap card. If a face-up attack position monster is targeted for an attack: You can banish this card (From your Spell/Trap zone.) and target the attacked monster, and that cards ATK is doubled during Damage Calculation. While this card is banished, and you have another Beamer monster in your Graveyard: You can banish that monster, and add this card to your hand. Naso, The Wise SamuraiLevel 4ATK: 1800 DEF: 2000LIGHTWarrior / Phaze / Effect This card can only be Summoned if you have a face-up "Emperor-Wise Samurai" in your Spell/Trap zone. This card gains 200 DEF for every Beamer monster on the field and 300 DEF for every Beamer monster in your Spell/Trap zone. If their is no face-up "Emperor-Wise Samurai" in your Spell/Trap zone, the DEF gained through this cards effect is halved. Wadti, The Wise NinjaLevel 3ATK: 2000 DEF: 0DARKWarrior / Phaze / Effect This card can only be Summoned if you have a face-up "Emperor-Wise Ninja" in your Spell/Trap zone. During the End Phase of your turn, if this card did not attack: You can switch this card to defense position, and if you do, apply this card's ATK for its DEF during your opponent's turn only. If their is no face-up "Emperor-Wise Ninja" in your Spell/Trap zone, this card's DEF stays the same. Try to tell me what you thought of them! Trebuchet MS Posted March 20, 2016 Report Share Posted March 20, 2016 Are you able to freely change a Beamer between a Spell and Trap, or do you make the decision the moment you place it in the S/T Zone and it gets "locked in" as your choice as a Spell/Trap? The entire concept of interdependent cards makes it about as inconsistent as the old Ritual Spells. Without efficient ways for cards to tutor up the counterparts they rely on, Beamers and Phazes will have a tendency to dead draw a fair bit. Without efficient ways for cards to tutor up the counterparts they rely on, Beamers and Phazes will have a tendency to dead draw a fair bit.First off, you can not change which Type of card it is once you activate the Beamer, unless an effect says otherwise. Secondly, I understand where you are coming from, but there are some things you haven't thought of. First with the Beamers, they are not just for Summoning Phazes; They have other uses too. That is just a secondary effect. They also have effects that effect the gameplay itself. And like I said, they are also monsters. But Phazes on the other hand, I can see why you have problems with it. Like Rituals, they are rare to Summon, but unlike Rituals, they can be Summoned any way, like Normal Summoned from the hand, Special Summoned from the Graveyard, etc., as long as the required Beamer is in the Spell/Trap zone. But I guess that I could make some changes to make Phazes easier to Summon, like making a single Beamer being able to be used for several Phazes, or Phazes needing a certain Archetype instead of Beamer.
