Six Thousand Needles

Lvl 10, 3000/3000, EARTH, Beast

- If this card is Summoned: Change it to Defense Position. Change all monsters your opponent controls to Attack Position. All monsters your opponent controls must attack this card, if able. At the start of the Damage Step, if this Defense Position card battles an opponent's monster: Destroy that monster and inflict damage to your opponent equal to its ATK. If this card leaves the field: Special Summon "Thousand Needles", "Two Thousand Needles", and "Three Thousand Needles" from your Deck.

 

So I was bored today, remembered the Needle cards, and decided to make this.

I mean, if you want to keep to the flavour, it should have 6000/1800 stats. Which would break the 5000 barrier but FLAVOUR. So I think if you just renamed it 4k Needles and made it 4000/1800.

 

That being said, it's fairly mental. I mean you can Mausoleum of the Emperor out and it floats into a total of 6000 damage/relative wall, so. It's a Blazing Mirror Force that forces battle and doesn't hurt you, on a solid body, that floats. So if they can't Castel it or whatever it's a decent wall. But then it's a level 10 and does nothing and the Needles have no actual synergy or anything. It's a bit clunky but it does at least work to some degree unlike the other Needles whose effects I didn't realise until now are actually just awful.

 

I didn't say a lot there, 'twas more a ramble than a thought. I do like the idea of a 3000 Battle Mania which kills your opponent if they can't out it and can be revived by absolutely anything. The float is, however, a bit much I feel. If it floated into 1 maybe, but all 3 is just asking for problems. I mean individually they make no sense but this could become a semi-plausible synchro engine since there's a 4 a 5 and an 8 and they're all Earth so GUB >>> Beast >>> Barkion shenanigans and that.

 

So basically if you want to keep the flavour make it 6000/1800 or some variation thereof by changing the name or whatever, I feel that floating into 3 monsters on destruction of something with no summoning conditions is a bit excessive also. Put it down to 1 of them maybe. Or let it summon 1 search 1. I don't know. This was not helpful soz.

Why 6 thousand?

1 thousand + 2 thousand + 3 thousand = 6 thousand

Alternatively

3000 + 3000 = 6 thousand.

And if this could be used as a plausible synchro engine, I would be immensely proud of myself for making such terrible cards useful. But I think ultimately the two tribute requirement and the fact that it forces you to run 3 subpar cards renders it unusable.

Honestly, I'll have to agree with Enguin on the terms of the cards not having any Synergy... Yet. Come on guise, this is YCM. You can make whatever you want (as long as it is within logical boundaries).

 

I'm not too sure about the start of the Damage Step killing all of your opponent's monsters though. The blazing effect is fine, but for flavour text purposes, it might be better to keep it like the other needles; destroying the monsters attacking it at the end of the Damage Step if their ATK was lower than its DEF. 

 

That aside, the floating effect is perfectly fine. If you decide to follow my first edit suggestion, then you might as well as give it a boost by allowing the float to SS the 3 different needles from hand, Deck, or Graveyard. 

 

Plus, screw Mauloseum of the Emperor. Reasoning and the Monarch's Stormforth are much better options if you add cards like Mithra the Thunder Vassal.
