Wall Monsters (Written)

Walls are new monsters that I have been thinking about. They are Extra Deck monsters that stay there until you activate a certain spell. Then you will Special Summon this card and attach a certain monster to this card (Like Xyz). And you will gain effects depending on the monster's Level. Here are 2 Spell cards and their Monsters.

Wall Construction

Wall Spell Card

You can Wall Summon 1 Wall monster from your Extra Deck, by attaching 1 monster from your side of the field whose level is either lower or higher than the selected Wall monster's level as the Wall Material.

Wall Forming

Wall Spell Card

You can discard 1 card: Wall Summon 1 Wall monster from your Extra Deck, by attaching 1 monster on the field whose level is either lower or higher than the selected Wall monster's level as the Wall Material. If this card is in your Graveyard, and you control a Wall monster that has no Wall Material: You can attach this card to the Wall monster, and this card gains a level that is either 1 level higher or 1 level lower. You can only activate the effect of "Wall Forming" once per turn.

Boundary Broken

Normal Trap Card

You can detach 1 Wall Material from 1 Wall Monster you control and target 1 monster your opponent controls: Destroy it.

Clay Brick

Level 3

EARTH

ATK: 200 DEF: 1700

Rock / Effect

If this card is used as Wall Material: The attached monster gains 300 ATK and DEF.

Stone Brick

Level 6

EARTH

ATK: 1400 DEF: 2200

Rock / Effect

If this card is on the field, and you control a Wall Monster without a Wall Material: You can attach this card to the Wall Monster.

Acharan, the Beauty

Level 7

LIGHT

ATK: 2500 DEF: 2000

Fairy / Effect

When your opponent declares an attack and you control a Wall Monster with this card as the Wall Material: You can destroy this card and target the attacking monster; Destroy it, and end the Battle Phase.

Feldriun, The Great Stone

Level 5

EARTH

ATK: 2300 DEF: 2500

Rock / Wall / Effect

"1 Warrior or Rock Type Monster"

When this card is Wall Summoned, apply 1 of the following effects depending on the Wall Material's level:

4 or lower: If this card changes battle position: It gains 100 DEF.

6 or higher: If this card changes battle position: It gains 100 DEF. Once per turn, you can switch this card's ATK and DEF until the End Phase. Your opponent can not decrease this card's DEF.

The Blue-Eyes Serpent

Level 7

WATER

ATK: 2700 DEF: 1000

Sea Serpent / Wall / Effect

"1 Dragon Type Monster"

When this card is Wall Summoned, apply 1 of the following effects depending on the Wall Material's level:

6 or lower: Once per turn, you can tribute 1 monster on the field: Add 1 "Blue-Eyes" card from your Deck to hand.

8 or higher: Once per turn, you can tribute 1 monster to target 1 "Blue-Eyes" monster in your Deck, and send it to the Graveyard. Then, if this effect was activated, when this card leaves the field: You can Special Summon the selected monster(s), ignoring its Summoning conditions.

This card's name is always treated as "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".

Dante, Explorer of the Abyss

Level 4

DARK

ATK: 2300 DEF: 2300

Warrior / Wall

"1 'Abyss' Monster"

Since it requires a Spell Card, that balances the fact that you only need the one monster; normally, my rule for E. Deck summoning is that it should take two cards minimum, so good on ya'!

Overall it's not a bad idea, what with essentially having the same card cost as most Xyz Summons, though this does have the Fusion drawback of needing specific activator cards like Polymerization.  I'm somewhat reminded of Masked Heroes in card cost - one spell targets a monster that essentially swaps it for a bigger monster, though this is based on Level and not Attribute.  The way their effects work is also pretty neat, too; I like the way the attaching is restricted to monsters with a higher or lower Level - the latter of which gives them maybe some CRAZY speed potential, though again, the activation method can bog that down if you have no way to search or recycle.  I can't think of any examples just off the top of my head, but I feel like there are one or two monsters out there that function similarly... Though I'm probably just having hindsight bias.  xD

Overall they seem fairly solid, since they're essentially just monster cards you get from the E. Deck.  They have Levels and Types, but I see no Attribute listed - do they lack an Attribute, in that case?  If so you might want to clarify that.

Just my two cents!

So, they're defensive monsters? Judging from the name and the example you provided. Defending's not going to get you anywhere in today's meta.

The spell card, since it can use any monster from hand and only requires 1 monster, basically puts a beater on the field for free. Taking your current example, that wall spell can be used in nearly any deck to instantly put a 2300 monster on the field, which can also be used as a level 5 for xyz and synchros.

The extra deck is full enough at the present, so I'm not exactly anxious for more competition for space. This mechanic isn't new and fresh enough to catch my interest, and I can't judge with only 1 example.

Also your monster is missing an attribute.

I never said I was defending, I just ran out of names :)

And yes thanks I didn't realise that I didn't put an Attribute thx!

I can provide more than 1 example if things go out smoothly with these monsters. But if your saying that these are to OP, then I will tell you some things. First off, not all of them will be strong or have higher effects, and the ones that do will be harder to summon. And sencond off, I will make balanced cards out of these, but right now like I said, I will need more likes on this.

There we go I restricted the Summoning conditions and changed the wording a bit.
