Ritual Monster
Can be Ritual Summoned with "Rise of the Fallen One". Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; place 1 Death Counter on it. (Monsters with Death Counter lose 1000 ATK for each Death Counter on it and have all its effects negated.) If this card would be destroyed, you can remove 1 Death Counter from an opponent's monster instead.

Rise of the Fallen One

Ritual Spell
This card is used to Ritual Summon "Thanatos, Death's Advocate" from your hand. You must also Tribute monsters you control and/or from your hand whose combined Levels is 8 or more. You can reveal this card in your hand; shuffle this card into the Deck, then add 1 Level 8 Fairy-type monster from your Deck to your hand.

Reading through Thanatos, I feel that it is quite solid and can be quite good depending on the Ritual Spell's secondary effect, if it had any. So both the cards turned out quite solid, but I'm a bit conflicted about the Ritual Spell's secondary effect after all.

On one hand, I don't feel stuff like Kristya need a ROTA-like search which can dodge quite a number of Spell Card activation negation effects due to not even being the actual activation of the card, and yeah, a Spell Card having a reveal effect in the hand seems kind of cheap. Why not something that makes the Ritual Monster's field presence even more solid instead?

On the other hand, you could argue that the Ritual Monster already has enough, so you should boost the consistency in getting it out instead (or so it's intended; it can still be run alone as a super, and super restricted, ROTA). It can already prevent its own destruction, so a Hymn of Light-like effect for the Ritual Spell isn't necessary. Too many Ritual Spells? Maybe because of Pre-Prep? Shuffle 1 back in. You can also make a dead Pre-Prep live again this way.
