You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 1 card on the field; send it to the Graveyard. If all monsters used as Xyz Materials for the Xyz Summon of this card were DARK, the targeted card cannot be activated, or activate it's effect, in response to this card's effect. You can only used this effect of " " once per turn.

This monster is an inspiration from Phantom Knights, since they have hard time Summoning Rank 4 DARK monsters. Either those have certain requirements or are not that good, which greatly limits the variety of monsters to be Special Summoned. However, this monster is not only for PK; it's generic, so every deck can use it; it simply has a niche' in case you only use DARK monsters to Xyz Summon it. And a little more ATK and DEF points from Castel for good measure. :)
I also want to add that the new RUM for PK can work with this card very well, just like with DRXD.
1) Evilswarm: Not even used anymore.
3) Gravekeepers: Same (possibly).
2) Blackwings: Maybe, but Castel exists.
4) RaidRaptors: Same.
5) Phantom Knights: Very worth it.

An alternate scenario was to not allow cards or effects to be activated in response to the effect instead of simply not be negated.

A more potent version of blackship of corn, iM a very fan of this card though not sure rank 4 pool deserve something like this, its literally castel evil brother and this even targets set cards. The fact that the effect cannot be negated seems to much even if its limited to dark monsters, maybe somthing like only the targeted card cannot be activated. It outclases diamond dre wolf by far.

 

 

Also you put both once per turn clauses, it only needs one (the hard OPT seems more suitable for this effect)

   Alright, I'll remove the soft OPT.

   Totally forgot about Corn. My main comparison was Castel, so I tried to tone the effect a bit (sending to the Graveyard is not as powerful as shuffling the card back where it came from) without making it a lot worse version of Castel. That's why it can target face-down cards too, however I'm not not really sure if this stands right.

 

  The niche' it gains if Summoned with DARK monsters is debatable anyway. I'll consider yours, but what do other people have to say about the card?

As i said, this outclases diamond dire and blackship and competes/shares a spot in ED with castel, problem is "x" monster has a little of the 3. The effect is balanced but its the fact that is generic what makes it OP. The decks you mentioned are only the ones that have natural synergy, but it still can fit in any rank 4 deck, regardless of the "bonus", generic rank 4 pool has enough problem solvers..

If is really designed for PK ot DARKs in general the materials are the ones that should be dark, with that i dont see major problem applying always the fail safe part of the effect (i still think it should be preventing only the target to respond), dark monsters should have and deserve their own private toy.

I'm aware of how the generic R4 pool works, but I don't know how to make it more balanced.

The reason I made it detach 2 Materials is to have an effect a little better than simply "target and destoy 1 card". Maybe make it not target the card or to only target face-up cards if it's gonna send them to the Graeyard?

Sending it to the graveyard is fine, is what makes the card unique, targeting set cards isnt bad also, it gives the fail safe (prevent responding) a purpose. Its the materials, if its changed to 2 dark monsters as materials and fail safe working at all time will make a great exclusive addition to darks without creating another generic rank 4 i think.
