Level 4 | DARK | Ritual / Gemini  | Zombie

Must first be Ritual Summoned. This card is treated as a non-Effect Ritual Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is a non-Effect Ritual Monster on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it become an Effect Monster with this effect.

• This card gains 1300 ATK and 2600 DEF. Also it becomes a Level 10 EARTH Warrior-Type monster. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: banish that monster instead of sending it to the Graveyard.

Post-Gemini stats

I got bored and decided to mash two types of card together. Again. Not much more to say.

Ritual Spell

This card is used to Ritual Summon "Risen Warlord, Kennaki" from your hand or Graveyard. You must also Tribute monsters you control or in your hand whose total Levels equal 4 or more. If you control  "Risen Warlord, Kennaki" while this card is in the Graveyard: you can banish this card from your Graveyard; you can perform an additional Normal Summon this turn. You can only use this effect of "Warlord Resurrection" once per turn. You can return this card in your Graveyard to the bottom of your Deck; send 1 "Risen Warlord, Kennaki" from your Deck to the Graveyard.

I can see the total opposite; Ritual Monsters have a hard time seeing play as a whole, and Geminis don't see play at all because of their cumbersome mechanic.

I don't think combining the two is a very good idea.

None of that matters if you can't Summon it in the first place. Is there a Ritual Spell for this card??

This card's effect is that it gains 1300 ATK and 2600 DEF on the turn you summon it. I say that because Ritual Summoning is considered special summoning. You get a Level 10 2900 ATK/2600 DEF Warrior-type monster. It cost you a normal summon but, instead of looking at it that way, look at it as a tribute monster whose tributes could come from the hand or field.

In my eyes, it's not a bad card.

My issue isn't that it costs you a Normal Summon; my problem is that it costs you a Normal Summon and does nothing to compensate for that.

Big ATK stopped being a big deal by itself ages ago.  It doesn't help that Manju (a key part of any generic Ritual Monster's asset suite) is essentially locked out that turn.

If this guy gets his own dedicated Ritual Spell, then it'd be easier to work with via Pre-Preparation of Rites, but it still wouldn't be worth it in my view.

Supervise is one way around this, but that's already a lot of dedication for a simple 2900 beatstick.

It was late and I needed to zzzzzzz, so here's the Ritual Spell.

It's a pretty good Ritual Spell, and it does make Kennaki much better than before.

I have a nagging suspicion that if these were to be a thing, Kennaki would be used as Rank 4 fodder.

I recommend giving him another ability; something that actually generates some kind of advantage.
