ZillaSmasher
Destruction Ring DragonLvl 8 DARKDragon/Fusion/Effect3000/2500Must be Special Summoned with "The Fang of Critias" by sending "Ring of Destruction" from your hand or your side of the field to the graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. You can destroy 1 monster your opponent controls and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half of that monster's original ATK. When this card leaves the field because of your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect), you can destroy all face-up Attack Position monsters your opponent controls and inflict damage to your opponent equal to this card's original attack. You can only use each effect of "Destruction Ring Dragon" once per turn.
Guest BGMCANN0N
I think it is justified... You have to use a Main Deck Spell on something that is Limited. And if Ring of Destruction were to go back @ 3 even then I still think this is justified because Main Deck card combinations are hard to pull off (especially since neither card is easily searchable). And it has common counters too such as 101 or UTL, but without those your opponent is going to have to be reasonably cautious about counters they wouldn't want to use such as Raigeki and the likes because of its capability to rupture resources (unless they are playing Pendulums then good for them...), or even backfire and kill them if their LP is low enough. In all, I wouldn't mind this existing. If anything it introduces another possibility to Fang, and it is flavorful in some regard because Ring of Destruction is Kaiba's card. :P
Dragulas
The raigeki effect is nice but i think it doesnt justify the investment, i wouldnt like to wait to my opponent to do something, when i gave up 2 cards (one which despite being errated and limited is still a decent trap on its own)to summon this card. Regardless the concept and idea is pretty neat and fits with the fact that like mirror force dragon, its own trap material get rid of this without triggering it.Its level seems a bit odd though, but thats just me
Guest BGMCANN0N
I see what you mean... If they were to add more to it, I think another effect that they would would have to exercise some form of control (like once per tun, you can destroy 1 card), but it would have to be a less powerful effect because of the conditional fluidity and magnitude of its current effect. ZillaSmasher
Perhaps something along the lines of: "Once per turn, you can destroy 1 monster your opponent controls and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half of that monster's original ATK." Would that work?
Guest BGMCANN0N
Well the burn makes his current effect more deadly, and hard-pressing on your opponent.... But, with its Summoning condition... I'd say go for it. Who is getting mad at one using a Fang of Critias build anyhow? :P
ZillaSmasher
Effect has been edited. Maybe I could make an improved Critias or a trap searcher to help improve the consistency of Critias.dek. The Sharpened Fang of Critias and Critias Call have nice rings to them. Dragulas
Since its new field effect targets any monster (nice way tu improve rings effect btw) i think the floating effect should be watered down a bit (destroying only face up monsters maybe), i mean with its new effect, no monster is safe from it anyway so at least let the monsters who didnt have anything to get rid of it free. and a hard OPT when it leaves the field, because even if you are supposed to have no monsters, a possible second shot of that means 6k to the face. ZillaSmasher
Edited the floating effect so that it only hits face-up Attack Position monsters and gave it a once per turn.
