Darj
Corrupted MetalmorphTrap CardType: NormalTarget 1 face-up monster on the field; equip this card to that target. It gains 500 ATK, becomes DARK Machine-Type and is unaffected by Spell effects. During either player's turn, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; Set 1 "Metalmorph" Trap Card directly from your Deck, except "Corrupted Metalmorph". That Set card can be activated during this turn. This card's name becomes "Metalmorph" while it is on the field or in the Graveyard. This is a card I had in my vault, made it way back on 2008, but I have upgraded it to post it. It originally was a Continuous Trap and only had the equip effect, now I added it a searching effect akin to PSYFrame Overload to support its fellow Metalmoprh Traps, plus a Cyber Dragon-ish name change effect mostly for flavor purposes by slightly supporting those 2 Metal monsters. Posting it on Casual because I don't really see it nor Metalmorph Traps having any impact in the competitive environment, but I could be mistaken. Anyway, thoughts? SpasmicUnitato
First of all, you said it was first a continuous trap card which it still says on the card it self, so you might want to fix that. "Target 1 face-up monster on the field; equip this card to that target. It gains 500 ATK, and becomes a DARK, Machine-Type monster and is unaffected by Spell effects."Just a quick fix to this line. The cards first effect is fine, with the ability to become DARK and Machine-type, and the effect like Metalmorph, with its equip effect. It gives a simple 500 ATK boost, but its search effect is a bit weird... I mean, if you can activate it the turn you set it, there isn't much point to make it during either player's turn. It just gives more protection for Metalmorph as it stays on the field only on the turn you want it to. I mean, if it was destroyed on your opponents turn, then I guess it would be fine, but you could easily pull a metalmorph to quickly change up the game. Although that is just me, other than that, it looks fine.
Darj
Oh, right. I will fix the card's type right away. Thanks for pointing that out.As for the OCG fixes, they aren't truly necessary since, taking Oasis of Dragon Souls as reference, the type-changing effect of that card reads as "It becomes Wyrm-Type"; then, effects that support monsters with an specific Attribute and Type (e.g. Lady of the Wasteland, Dark Renewal) don't separate the attribute and type requirements with a comma, so I suppose it wouldn't be needed for this effect either. Being able to activate it the turn it is Set is relevant since Spell/Trap Cards cannot be activated during the turn they are Set by card mechanics, and the clause allows the card to bypass that restriction and activate a Metalmorph Trap that same turn it was set. This effect is also seen on Absolute King Back Jack.
