Getting 2 Pendulum Summons for the turn lets you slam down more monsters, yes, but locking out various types of Summons that would use up those monsters means that your field would be too clogged to warrant using 2 Pendulum Summons in a turn. Which leaves you with Pendulum Summoning smaller numbers of monsters each time to avoid getting crushed by Solemn Strike and the likes.
