leafbladie
With the addition of "Exod Flame" and "Summoned Lord Exodia" the Exodia deck has evolved beyond just being FTK trash. However, in it's current form, beyond gimmicky Quasar/Exodia hybrid decks, and dedicated Exodia stall decks, it's a bit inconsistent, especially due to the key players being highly unsearchable. So I decided to create 4 cards to help tackle the weaknesses of the deck, whether it be non-targeting destruction removal, protecting your Exodia pieces from being banished, or just making it more consistent, I think this support can really help out. Servant of the ForbiddenSpellcaster-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0 (Tuner)This card is treated as a “Forbidden One” monster while in your Deck. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can shuffle 1 “Forbidden One” monster, from your hand or Graveyard into your Deck; Special Summon this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use this effect of "Servant of the Forbidden" once per turn. Protector Priest ShimonSpellcaster-Type/LIGHT/Level 2/ATK 1000/DEF 1000 (Synchro/Tuner)1 Tuner + 1 “Forbidden One” monsterIf this card is Synchro Summoned: You can send 1 “Forbidden One” monster from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard; add 1 “Obliterate!!!” or “Exodia” monster from your Deck to your hand. During your opponent’s Main Phase, you can: Immediately after this resolves, Synchro Summon using this card, and shuffling “Forbidden One” monsters from your hand or Graveyard into your Deck as non-Tuner materials. Exodia the EmpoweredSpellcaster-Type/DARK/Level 5/ATK ?/DEF 0 (Synchro)1 Tuner + 1 or more “Forbidden One” monstersCannot be destroyed by card effects. When this card declares an attack: Send 1 "Forbidden One" monster from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard. This card gains 1000 ATK for each “Forbidden One” monster in your Graveyard. You can shuffle 1 “Forbidden One” monster from your Graveyard into your Deck; destroy 1 card on the field. Protector of ExodiaSpellcaster-Type/DARK/Rank 1/ATK 1800/DEF 1800 (Xyz)2 Level 1 monsters/You can also Xyz Summon this card by discarding 1 “Forbidden One” monster from your hand to the Graveyard, then using 1 “Forbidden One” monster you control as the Xyz Material. Cannot be targeted by card effects. Neither player can banish cards. If this card has a "Forbidden One" monster as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect.● You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; return all banished cards to the Graveyards, and this card gains 100 ATK for each card returned. Pon3
This is great! I've always thought that Exodia would have more servants and followers, since his power is so great. Support for him is a fun idea, and I like the idea of having a backup plan for Exodia not really being able to be in the hand.

Just letting you know so you don't get in trouble in the future.

Black D'Sceptyr
Servant of the Forbidden feels like something I could use in more than just a...hahahaha yeah can't finish that with a straight face. Is a nice Tuner tho, if a tad slow. Perhaps The Legendary Exodia Incarnate can help this out. Lev 11 Synchros, here we come! Shimon is the real expeditor of Tuners, though. Sets up the Grave, adds that amazing Psy-Frame Overload retrained Obliterate! to hand, and Quick Synchros too? Marvelous. Exodia the Empowered seems like the real heavy hitter though: like, I could see this and TLEI being used in tandem: One fills the Grave, one scoops it. Or you Summon this, plunk back all the Forbidden One cards to wreck a field, activate Painful Decision, Normal Summon a limb, bring out TLEI, pwn face. Seems like Protector is a tad out of place, though. I mean, yeah this can get back the Servant, and maybe even the cards brought back with Obliterate! but I'd rather just keep it all banished and pack-run Gren Maju to take advantage of the banished bloc. Does give a nice heavy double gun salute to the Kozmo race, tho, so kudos. 1800 ATK and DEF also ensures most of the Kozmo frontline can't run it down either. And if they try...well "Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card..." All in all, good if...ranged support for Exodia and I wish to see more in the future. Hell, I have a 40 card bevy of support to put on my DeviArt account before the year's up.

Banish Some of your pieces, then return them to the Graveyard.
kevintriedge
Looks nice! IMHO Exodia would look a lot more in-theme if they have no Synchro or Xyz, since they are from the first generation. But the effects are nice. It's good without being too overpowered.
