Equip only to a non "HERO" monster. The monster equipped with this card is treated as a "HERO" monster. During your Main Phase, you can send the equipped monster to the Graveyard, also, after that, if it left the field by this effect, Special Summon 1 "Masked HERO" monster from your Extra Deck with the same Attribute that the sent monster had when it was on the field. You can only activate 1 "Mask Change Zero" per turn.

I'm not too keen on this card, personally. There is already Mask Change II for turning non-HEROes into Masked HEROes, which is more costly than this and cannot be used on Xyz unlike this card, although it has the edge of being a Quick-Play Spell. On the other hand, this one gets Equip support, which isn't half bad and seems to be getting better if we take Fairy Tale - Cinderella into account. At the very least I would put some kind of drawback to this card; destroying the summoned monster at the end of the turn came to my mind, encouraging the player to use it as a temporary Dark Law/HERO converter, but that would make the card not as appealing, I guess.

 

By the way, you are missing the (This Special Summon is treated as a Special Summon with "Mask Change") clause seen on Mask Change II.

This card is basically an Equip Spell version of Mask Change II, but without all the restrictions. I don't like it as it feels way to generic. It gives non-HERO Decks access to Masked HEROs without any restrictions. Also, the card text lacks "This Special Summon is treated as a Special Summon with "Mask Change", so make sure you add that. Not sure what else to say though.
