Attack Veiler

LIGHT / Level 1

Spellcaster/Tuner/Effect

During either player's turn: You can discard this card, then target 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes 0. You can only use the effect of "Attack Veiler" once per turn.

0/0

Brought back an old 1v1 card of mine, but with a better, more refined effect.

I imagine you think this is a simple one-to-one trade card.

For most extra deck monsters, you invest two or more cards. This, as a result, is easy, instant advantage.

'Not working against Pendulums' isn't really an excuse. Sure, it targets, and doesn't negate the summon. But it's still very, very powerful for a handtrap. Removing an opponent's Castel before it can activate an effect? That's powerful in itself, but as a hand trap, it becomes innately stronger. Unlike a trap card or monster, it's immune to removal.

Even Pendulum decks use Synchro, Xyz, and sometimes Fusion. There's not much you can do to play around it-- especially when the Extra Deck is all some decks have. It's not like Maxx "C" where you just stop and end your turn. Timed right, this single card would often be able to win games. Everyone would run it in at LEAST the side deck. You'd need negation like Crystal Wing or Divine Wrath to even TRY to make a play safely in a format where this is legal.

Whether it can be outed or not doesn't change the fact that this is a very, very dumb card.

MY. GOODNESS.

S'like Construct, for a swift moment, called out ot me in the darkness, and lo, she said "What I have wrought upon the Special Summoned monster game-LET THIS WILL BE DONE AGAIN!!)

So simple, and yet SOOOO brutal. Imagine this going into ANY mirror match. I'm thinking this thing might make Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon a frightening prescence, and not just as tutoring-Odd Eyes Extra Deck fodder. Doubled battle damage on a 0 ATK target might match it to the Orihalk and Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX in terms of sheer damage input.

Look forward to more simplistic-yet-awesome cardmaking on this vein, fella.

9.5/10.
