Tesability Black
Pendulum Monsters are...a bit annoying. They have a feel that I think best fits a group of monsters that haven't received their benefit yet. What is that group of monsters?THE TOONS! Toon Monsters were depicted in the anime as these pain-in-the-@ss monsters to deal with, but in the TCG/OCG, they are easy to tango with! It doesn't seem right! Welp, I got to thinking about how to 'Toonify' the Pendulum mechanic, and I wound up stumbling onto to something interesting. So allow me to introduce how the mechanic could have been ran if it was a Toon-only mechanic. I present the Pencil-Sketched Toon Jabberwocky. Attribute: WINDLevel: 7Type: Winged Beast/ToonEffect: Cannot attack the turn it is Summoned, unless Special Summoned by a "Toon" card while you control "Toon World". While you control "Toon World" and your opponent controls no Toon monsters, this card can attack your opponent directly. Once per turn while you control "Toon World", you may Special Summon from your hand and/or your Extra Deck up to 4 "Toon" monsters between Levels 5 and 9. This monster cannot be destroyed by battle during your opponent's turn. If this monster would be sent to the Graveyard, place it face-up on the Extra Deck instead.ATK: 2900DEF: 1000No, it doesn't have follow any of the known patterns for Toon Effects. In fact, this would be referred to as the "Type P / Pendulum" Toon. (Yes, I know I'm skipping G-O.) The actual Toon effect would be as follows:Cannot attack the turn it is Summoned, unless Special Summoned by a "Toon" card while you control "Toon World". While you control "Toon World" and your opponent controls no Toon monsters, this card can attack your opponent directly. Once per turn while you control "Toon World", you may Special Summon from your hand and/or your Extra Deck up to 4 "Toon" monsters between Levels ? and ?. (Insert specific card's effect here.) If this monster would be sent to the Graveyard, place it face-up on the Extra Deck instead. In the effect, the ? would be replaced with a level either 2 lower or 2 higher than the Toon's printed level.
