leafbladie
Seeing as "What does "Pot of Greed" do?" got a retrain, I thought it'd be fun to rework another card that's currently extremely broken and deserves to remain on the banlist for all of time itself, and a little after for good measure, "Painful Choice". Since it was designed with the thought that the Graveyard is supposed to be a place that's difficult to retrieve cards, I decided to just change it so they banished the other cards face-down, because that's what our version of the Graveyard now. Obviously with the steep cost of the card, it can't really be run in much, except for gimmick decks focused around banishing cards, like "Inferno Tempest", "D.D. Dynamite", "Gren Maju Da Eiza". Though I guess it could also be run in Deck that run multiple 3-offs like "D/D/D" or "ABC" by just choosing 5 different cards that you run 3 of, and having your opponent add 1 of those to the hand, so maybe it'd have some relevance in the meta too. Anyway, here it is: Painful PropositionNormal SpellReveal 5 cards from your Deck, your opponent chooses 1 for you to add to your hand, and you banish the rest face-down. You can only activate 1 “Painful Proposition” per turn
Abdelrahman
Honestly, while this version is alot more balanced than Painful Choice, it's kind of lacking imo. I mean, banishing 4 cards face-down from your Deck is an expensive cost by itself, so it should maybe let you add 1 card from your Deck instead of letting your opponent choose for you. But with that comes the problem of Exodia, because this card would help them in Deck-thinning in addition to searching an Exodia part, so I think this is a pretty good version that doesn't need any edits. Black D'Sceptyr
Okay, hard to believe, but I see the purpose of this right off the bat. You use Painful Proposition to get key searchers or a crucial part of the puzzle that you have in copies. NOBODY is using this to grab a Limited card. NOT. HAPPENING. But say....three Brilliants and two Ostinatos in Gem-Knight Melodious (or the other way around)? Either choice your opponent makes, you've got a Deck abusing Fusion in hand, and thinned the Deck itself by 4 to boot. Or your three Terraformings and two Field Spells you'll drop Terraforming to get. Or 3-2 Allure of Darkness and Pot of Desires. Or 3-2 Solemn Strike and Dimension Barrier. Or 2-2-1 of Darklord Spell/Traps, since you reuse 'em like crazy ANYWAYS. Or 3-2 Ritual Sanctuary and Pre-Preparation of Rites. Or -5 Paleozoics to use to summon that atrociously named and effected Toadally Broken you get the idea. Plus, All-Consuming Glutton/Gren Maju Da Eiza fuel is ALWAYS welcome. Wondrous card, leaf. Here's a draft to hoping it don't go the same way as Chicken Game.
Sluggaholic
Deckthin.card is looking pretty balanced there. The fact that you not only banish the cards, but force them to be face-down really emphasizes just how balanced you want this card, and, if it wasn't for ABC and Zombies, I'd have said that this restriction is too much. BUT you seemed to have kept those groups in mind when making this card. Good job, man. I really can't see this thing being too busted, though it might become the next Pot of Desires. But I be that was your idea, huh.
