leafbladie
So seeing as a lot of people stress alternate forms of removal, "ABC" has become so powerful with the ability to banish a card during either player's turn, and Pendulums can be pretty insufferable with how they just won't die without alternate forms of removal, I thought it might be fun to make a card to help decks that just want to level the playing field. Based on "Imperial Iron Wall", which doesn't let any card be banished, this card unfortunately only protects cards on the field, however, those cards can no longer leave the field under any circumstance, unless sent to the Graveyard. Intended in part for your battle focused archetype, it does help "Yang Zing" annoyingly enough, and "Kozmo" ships can still float, but hey, if it was just "Imperial Iron Wall" but better, it'd be a bit boring. Anyway, here it is: Imperial Iron FortressContinuous TrapPendulum monsters are sent to the Graveyard if destroyed, also cards cannot leave the field, except if sent to the Graveyard. Black D'Sceptyr
Remember tackling a similar concept to game flow with my trump card Hollowing a while back, but I've actually never thought of such a good policy as this. Making sure Pendulum Monsters on the field actually hit Graveyards is an amazing thing, and can easily -1 the best of the Pendulum lineup. Though I'm also wondering about which ones can benefit from this though. Perhaps Metalfoes, D/D/Ds? Metalfoes-wise, this would provide more targets for Combination-and more utility with Full Metalfoes Fusion. Setting this off a Metafoes monster effect and then using it and Combination in tandem to pop up 2 monsters on the opponent's turn is amazing (hint. go for that anime-referencing one with the variable DEF). Plus, when you're done cycling through and let your opponent's Pendulums wear themselves out (OH RIGHT, no trips to the extra Deck also means no material for Infinity incarnate Vortex Dragon, so SUCK IT PEND MAGICIANS/PERFOMRAPALS) And D/D/Ds abuse the Graveyard anyways with their Slimes-plus Savant Kepler hitting a Graveyard would do wonders for reusability in non-Thomas-holding builds. Why yes Abyss Ragnarok, Night Howling, every mainline D/D/D King, I'd love a GUARANTEED CONTRACT DURING EACH TURN THANK YOU. I'd actually put Apocalypse back into D/D to trigger off the Special Summoning on my opponent's turn for that purpose. +1ing for days would meditate Chaos Apocalypse's otherwise hefty Summoning requirement. But really, though, the decks that abuse this the most are the ones that exploit its secondary requirement. Spirit/Yosenjus would finally have workable field presence, Everybody has an out to some problematic spinners like IGNIIIIIIIIIIIIIISTER, and everyone had another target to push their resources at instead of your monsters, which keeps them out of the spotlight longer. This is the kinda that, in the right places, demands an answer-which is a hallmark to a good card, especially a Continous Trap. Keep it up, leafie.
