Dova
Number C80: Requiem in BeserkDARK - Rank 5 - Fiend/Xyz/Effect - 0/20003 Level 5 monstersYou can target 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control; equip this monster you control to that target. It gains 2000 ATK. If a monster equipped with this card would be destroyed, destroy this card instead. If this card has "Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk" as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect.● You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card on the field; banish that target. This card is one of the more useful Chaos numbers in my opinion, considering if you Rank-Up into it you get a triple banishing card, which can then equip onto one of your other Xyz Monsters for destruction protection and a major ATK boost. Yes, it doesn't make RUMs much more playable, but if you are playing a RUM, this is a sweet card to run imo. Discuss?
Premier Alexander Romanov
It certainly has its pros and cons, and while the anime version is quite powerful, this more streamlined version is still worthwhile to get out. Three (or more or less) banishings from the field, then make another monster gain 2000 ATK with destruction protection is not too bad of an investment of 2 Level 4s, an RUM, and 2 ED slots. I do love how they traded the anime effects between the standard and the Rank-Up effects.
evilfusion
It partially depends on your Deck. Obviously, the basis of the Deck needs to be able to use Rank 4s (no shortage of that), but it also needs to be able to run one of the RUM that lets you go into Number Cs, and the most recent RUM tend to NOT let you do that (the majority of RR RUM, Cipher RUM, etc are archetype specific). Also, for maximum use, you need to dedicate 2 Extra Deck slots. One for No.80 (which is actually very good on its own for the Graveyard banish) and for this. Rank 4 Extra Decks tend to be rather crowded, and when you invest extra space into RUM, that makes the space even tighter, because you don't just tech a RUM without multiple options of what to go into, particularly if you're using Limited Barian's Force. That said, RUM - Phantom Knights Launch is extremely useful in that regard. No.80 and C80 are both DARK, and No.80's banish-from-Grave effect is wonderful, and will result in being depleted of Materials, so you can then bring out C80 with 2 Materials. Honestly, I love the card. I used to use it in my Heraldic Beast RUM Deck, but eventually dropped C80 due to space feeling extremely tight at times, personal preference for other options, and the fact I almost never really went into C80 when I had a RUM, due to only running 2 Limited Barian's Force (and the Seventh One, I like that card in Heraldics, sue me), and having the likes of C101, C103, C104, and C69 as options. Of those options, they all have advantages even if not using their base form for Rank-Up, whereas C80 NEEDED its base form, and the playstyle of my Heraldics used basic Rank 4s to overcome various situations, and used RUM either to solidify the shift in momentum, or to overcome something much more difficult. Playing it in Phantom Knights, I've found that it is incredibly easy to go into C80 as a second turn play. All you have to do is make Break Swords, kill himself and an opponent's card, Summon the monsters as Level 4, go in Rhapsody, activate his effect twice, make sure one of the cards sent to the Grave will allow you to search Launch, then go into C80. Also, combine this card with Gloves, and you have a 5k Break Sword.
