The joke behind this one stems from an old joke on GameFAQs in which 500 posts would result in a topic being locked; ergo "to 500!"

Also because my Rep was 500 or whatever, at the time. So it doubled as an in-joke about me hitting one of these "landmarks".

This one isn't really funny because Demolisher saying "Thrus" instead of "Thrust" is all that matters; gotta' pick up on them typos you know.

These comics typically center around the Decepticons; the reason for this is because they are typically more serious then the Autobots, so portraying them in a more casual light gives these a humorous tone.

This one also sets up McDonalds as a recurring joke, and also includes a random Autobot skit at the end with a soda machine edited into the scene and depicting Optimus trying to operate it using Minicons instead of quarters.

It also pokes fun at HotShot for being a fanboy within the series itself.

This is honestly the only good one.

Why?

The joke is original and doesn't stem from anything pre-existing, except stuff that's already been pre-established in these comics

It capitalizes on the McDonalds joke by actually making the restaurant appear within a comic.

It's a continuation of the earlier comic in which Megatron wants McDoanlds.

'My Pretty Arcee' is an obvious reference to My Little Pony, and bonus points for McDonalds actually having said toys at the time this comic was made, and also doubling as a reference to the fact Arcee is, more or less, the Dark Magician Girl of Transformers.

There's more things in this strip, but it's irrelevant.
