Soul Monsters: New Extra Deck Monster Type!

Soul Monsters are monsters that go in your Extra Deck. The way to summon Soul Monsters is to Soul Summon them.
 
To Soul Summon, you have to pay a certain amount of LP and tribute a monster(s) you control
 
Also. Soul Cards are the color Red(but I could not find a way to make red yugioh cards so I just have the cards written.)
 
If anyone wants to make some Soul Monsters or cards that support Soul Monsters, you can PM(private message) me the card(s) and I will post them on this thread with your name beside it.

Lunalight Rabbit Dancer

 

Type: Beast-Warrior/Soul/Effect

 

Level: 7

 

Attribute: DARK/ ATK: 2500 DEF: 1900

 

Effect: 2500 LP + 1 “Lunalight” monster

When this card is Soul Summoned: You can target 1 banished “Lunalight” monster; add it to your hand. This card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster; inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. If this card is destroyed by card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 “Lunalight” monster from your Graveyard, except “Lunalight Rabbit Dancer”

 

 

D/D/D Soul King Kalicus

 

Type:Fiend/Soul/Effect

 

Level: 8

 

Attribute: DARK/ ATK: 2800 DEF: 1400

 

Effect: 2500 + 1 “D/D/D” monster

When this card is Soul Summoned: You can add either 1 “Dark Contract” card or 1 “D/D” monster from your Deck to your hand. If a “D/D” monster is destroyed by battle or card effect while this card is face-up on the field: You can target 1 “Dark Contract” card in your Graveyard; add it to your hand. If this card would be destroyed by battle or card effect; you can target 1 “Dark Contract” card on the field, banish it, and if you do: this card is not destroyed. You can only activate this effect of “D/D/D Soul King Kalicus” once per turn.

When this card battles an opponent’s monster, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step. If this card destroys an opponent’s monster by battle; it gains 300 ATK. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict battle piercing damage to your opponent.

Effect:  2000 LP + 2 LIGHT monsters you control
Once per turn, during your End Phase: You gain 1000 LP. This card cannot be destroyed by battle once per turn. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 Soul Monster in your Graveyard, except “Master War Medic.”; send it to your Extra Deck, then draw 1 card. You can only activate this effect of “Master War Medic” once per turn.

Summoning Conditions: 3000 LP + 1 Level 8 or higher Dragon-Type monster you control.
 
Effect: 3000 LP + 1 Level 8 or higher Dragon-Type monster you control.
 When this card is Soul Summoned: Negate the effects of all other face-up cards on the field. Once per turn: You can discard 1 card, then Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster from your hand or Graveyard, except “Arcando, Dragon of the West”.

Level: 12
 
Attribute: DARK/ATK: 5000 DEF: 3000
 
Effect:  6000 LP + 1 Level 12 monster you control
 This card can only be Soul Summoned. When this card is Soul Summoned: Warrior-Type monsters you control cannot be destroyed by Spell/Trap card effects until the end of this turn. This card cannot attack your opponent directly. Once per turn: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it.

Attribute: LIGHT/ ATK: 300 DEF: 200

 

Effect: You can discard this card to activate this effect: Reveal 1 Soul Monster in your Extra Deck. Special Summon 1 of the Soul Materials listed on that card from your Deck, then immediately after that effect resolves; Soul Summon 1 Soul Monster from your Extra Deck, by paying the certain amount of LP and by tributing the monster that was Summoned by this card’s effect.

 

 

Soul Warrior

 

Type: Warrior/Effect

 

Level: 3

 

Attribute: EARTH/ ATK: 1600 DEF: 400

 

Effect: When this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 1 Warrior-Type in your Graveyard, except “Charles the Confident Warrior”; Special Summon it in Attack Position.  A Soul Monster that was Summoned using this card on the field as Soul Material gains this effect.

(): If this card attacks, it gains 400 ATK until the end of this turn.

 

Soul Life Orb
 
Type: Normal Trap
 
Effect: Target 1 Soul Monster you control: You gain LP equal to half of the LP you paid to Soul Summon that monster. Once per turn, while this card is in your Graveyard; you can banish this card, then target 1 Soul Monster in your Graveyard: Return it to the Extra Deck, also you can draw 1 card. You can only activate 1 effect of “Soul Life Orb” per turn and only once that turn.

When your opponent Summons a monster, take control of it and gain life points equal to its Level times 100. At the end of your turn; you take 1000 damage for each of your opponents monsters you control, and this card levels up once for each 1000 life points lost.

Spell Card / Continuous Spell Card

Effect: Pay 1000 LP. Each time you Soul Summon a monster, you can pay half of the needed LP used to Soul Summon that monster and your opponent pays the same amount of LP you paid. You cannot activate this effect if your opponent's LP is lower than half of the LP you would pay to Soul Summon a monster.

This are great new way and type of monsters to be summoned from the Extra Deck.

 

Like any other Extra Deck monsters, the term you should in the summoning conditions should be [ 2000 LP + 1 Warrior-Type monster ] instead of [ 2000  LP + 1 Warrior-Type monster you control ] to make the wordings more appropriate because it is understood that you use your own monsters to Soul Summon a monster.

 

Regarding the new summoning conditions, it  is unique yet very costly in terms of LP. Maybe, cards that could heal your LP would be a great help in a deck with this kinds of monsters (like some of the cards herein).

 

I like this new set of monsters and maybe I could contribute in making these monsters create a great battle.

It's not necessarily bad... far from the worst design for a new mechanic I've seen...

But it's boring. This doesn't feel like a fully fledged-out summoning method, and opens up no new ground. And the way it only requires 1 card is pretty broken. LP is not a cost, not unless it's at 0. Making cards that pay LP only serves to make Yugioh games even faster and more OTK oriented. And the way you can turn just 1 monster into another instantly opens up a ton of powerful and possibly broken interactions with other cards.

Yeah, the more I look at it, the more OP it seems. And the lack of originality really kills it for me.
