Pendulum Frogs

I highly doubt Frogs need more support. But these ideas popped to mind and I had to.

Frog Fighter

WATER

Level 2

Scale: 1/1

Aqua/Effect

Pendulum Effect: You cannot Pendulum Summon, except WATER Aqua-Type monsters. Your opponent takes any Battle Damage you would take from battles involving Level 2 or lower WATER Aqua-Type monsters you control.

Monster Effect: If this card is Normal or Special Summoned while you control 2 or more WATER Aqua-Type monsters: You can add 1 "Wetlands" from your deck to your hand.

1200 ATK/1000 DEF

Frog Magician

WATER

Level 2

Scale: 6/6

Pendulum Effect: When a Level 2 or lower WATER Aqua-Type monster you control destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: Draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Frog Magician" once per turn.

Monster Effect: If you control no monsters: You can reveal 1 other Level 2 WATER Aqua-Type monster in your hand; Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed: You can place it in one of your unused Pendulum Zones.

1000 ATK/1200 DEF

Toadlock
WATER
Level 2

A clarification request on the monster effect of Toadlock: as it stands, destroying it while in a Pendulum Zone will still trigger its Monster Effect, as it happens with Ariadne, Plushfire, etc. which means it will allow you to place it again in a Pendulum Zone, for virtually an indestructible scale; most likely not but, was this intended? If not, follow Nirvana's High Paladin's example and add a "If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed:"

On reviews:

Musketoad isn't really impressive IMO, since with Toadally around, the go-to play of Frogs should be to Xyz Summon, rather than going Wetlands beat.

Toadlock doesn't look that great either. The Pendulum effect, like Musketoad, encourages Wetlands beat, but that's not their best playstyle anymore. The Monster effect however, assists with first turn Toadally Summons, which should be welcomed; and the second effect should be handy for completing scales.

Ironically enough, Musketoad has a Pendulum Summon restriction, but Toadlock, despite having an effect that allows it to be put in a Pendulum Zone, doesn't.

Overall, it's not that the cards are bad; they ought to be amazing additions to Wetlands beat builds; it's just that, AFAIK, currently Wetlands builds aren''t the best styles for Frogs to play.

A couple of suggestions:

- Toadlock could be scale 6 to allow the Pendulum Summon of Des Frog.

- It would help if they had "Frog" in their names, so they can get Frog support.

Yeah I built these more with Wetlands Beat Down in mind than Toadally Awesome decks. I know the latter is more prominent but my personal taste just prefers the former.

I was gonna make them frogs but the fact that most prominent support-Ronintoad, Substitoad, Toadally Awesome-are Toads made me go this route. But yeah I might try switching to Frogs for more usability.

I kinda forgot Des Frog was a thing. Yeah I'll bump it up to a 6/6 Scale. And the reason only Musketoad has a restriction is because it has a Scale 1 which I was afraid could be abusable.

I did not mean for Toadlock to have permanent recursion so yeah I'll fix that.
