I cannot but find this card outclassed by Floodgate Trap Hole. Both have the same activation timing, but a Floodgated monster may as well be considered gone, unless he/she happens to have an effect to flip them up, whereas this just removes the monster(s) temporarily. The only advantage I see on this card is that it leaves the opponent clear from those Summoned monsters, making it easier for you to deliver direct attacks in your following turn, but if it isn't a big push then he/she will get the monsters back, resume his/her plays and get back up. Another difference is that it will detach Xyz Materials, but Floodgate can disable Xyzs too, plus "locking" the Xyz materials may have a disruptive effect on the opponent as well.

You have pointed out ways that it is outclassed and way that it isn't, so how is it outclassed? They are simply different cards for different interactions. Floodgate is a card that still relies on you being able to take out the monster afterwards, you'll have to attack or use other resources to get rid of it, this card allows you to simply ignore them for a while, and as Pendulum Monsters also don't care if you destroy them, using it against them is pretty pointless, where this card will open the field for you.

It's outclassed in the sense that Floodgate should still be a better option than this. A single turn of leaving the opponent open isn't guaranteed to get you too far, plus it won't exactly remove the problem, in this case the monsters. Also it is just as useful as Floodgate is vs. Pendulums IMO. You can always leave the Floodgated opponents there until you have the resources to take them out, and let them clog the opponent's field while you are at it.

I highlighted the differences between this card and Floodgate to be fair, but even after that I would still take Floodgate over it pretty much anytime.

Well, I wouldn't, I have issues with that card, as I have stated. I'm open to ideas on how to improve it, but it will be a hard sell.

I think it will be fair if you make it bounce the Summoned monsters. That way it will be Storming vs. Quaking Mirror Force all over again, but in Trap Hole versions, and both having advantages & disadvantages.

That will make it more powerful towards ED monsters and Tribute Summon monsters, and I'm trying to make it balanced as well.

Right. It would be a lot like Compulsory, too. I got nothing then. The card is fine as it is, just kind of outclassed by Floodgate, although it has its niches and situational advantages of course.
