As reported by RoadoftheKing, Artifact Windwitch Invoked (Eidolon) made some noise at the middle of the past December, in this Singapore Winter Qualifier with 111 participating decks, and surely this was this biggest player in the deck.

It appears the deck lost its hype and OCG players went back to Zoodiacs & variants, but IMO this Snow Crystal Wing is still a play to watch out for, especially when most may be preparing & siding for Zoodiacs.

 

What do you think? Should one be wary of Snow Crystal showing up every now and then? Or the deck won mainly because of its siding vs. Zoodiac and maybe the surprise factor, but isn't something to be concerned about?

Anyway, it's nice in that it stops your Crystal Wing from getting outed so easily by Anomalocaris, Dark Hole, Slumber, Raigeki etc

It only had a niche in Eidolons tbh. The things that restrict Wind Witches from being too viable are that Ice Bell requires you controlling no monsters, and you are restricted from summoning non-WINDs for the rest of the turn. Ice Bell play -> Crystal Wing is only viable early game on your first turn and it's hard fitting this anywhere else but Eidolons. Making Raideen and pairing with Crystal and Artifacts can end up being decent board offenses and there is some synergy, but it has its own faults with consistency. Honestly I really didn't see it too much; I think it was a bit overhyped because people saw "Wind Witch" in the title and thought 1 card Crystal was dumb af, but now Eidolon Artifacts without them seem healthier, and even that is overcome by the new True Kings/Dracos.
