Abdelrahman
Pendulum Effect: Once, while this card is in your Pendulum Zone, if a monster you control attacks an opponent's monster with a Level less than or equal to its Level, during damage calculation: You can halve that opponent's monster's ATK, until the end of the Damage Step. Monster Effect: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersCannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects. If this card attacks an opponent's Level 9 or lower monster, during damage calculation: You can activate this effect; until the end of the Damage Step, It has its effects negated, also its ATK is halved. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can place this card in your Pendulum ZoneIn addition to being the first generic Level 9 Synchro that's actually worth playing (Because let's face it, Vermilion Dragon Mech is an ok card at best), this card is also the first generic Scale 9 card. Its effect doesn't work on Xyz Monsters, which helps balance it, but it pretty much destroys any Deck that runs Level 9 or lower monster (Blue-Eyes... Kozmo... True King... and ironically, Synchro Decks), so it's still pretty powerful. It also has protection from destruction effects, making destroying it by battle, or using other forms of removal such as returning to the hand or banishing the only way to get rid of it. Darj
Huh? Vermillion Dragon is a good card: it can target anything on the field, including either face-up and face-down cards, then it floats into a Tuner, plus it can make its own float effect live by banishing the Tuner you used for it through its destruction effect. Why is this just as strong base ATK-wise as Star Eater while being 2 Levels lower? it doesn't look fair. Then the ATK-reduction effects and their range make the card too punishing for the opponent; not to mention it further benefits from the Pendulum mechanic. Finally, Scale 9 is a really nice number to have that allows decks to Pendulum Summon Level8s, something that AFAIK isn't as common. In short, this is too good for a generic Synchro9, IMO. I suggest to water down the base ATK, the ATK-reduction effects, or both.
MUDKIPISAWESOME!!!
HOLY FRICK IT KILLS LITERALLY EVERYTHING THAT ISN'T XYZ OR TRAINS AND MAKES EVERYTHING ELSE DO IT TOO WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!Vermillion Dragon Mech is good, I use it in Gusto for when I need an Aggro play but can't hit exactly 6.This card is ridiculous - Can't be destroyed by effects, I can't swing over it with literally any non-Xyz Monster besides Trains and that would mean I was playing Trains, AND you added "If it's destroyed in literally any way" despite the fact that as I mentioned before the only way to kill it off is to attack over with Xyz or Trains. Thank goodness you didn't make it untargetable, otherwise Castel couldn't get rid of this and I'd be forced to resort to Storming/Drowning Mirror Force. Abdelrahman
Greatly nerfed this card's effects, and reduced its ATK to 2900.
